## OpenSeaMap Description
Suchen, Finden und Orientieren mit Hilfe der "OpenSeaMap - die freie Seekarte", der elektronischen mobilen Seekarte.

Was ist OpenSeaMap?

OpenSeaMap ist ein weltweites Opensource-Projekt zur Erstellung einer freien Seekarte. Es besteht Bedarf an frei zugänglichen Karten für die Seefahrt, deshalb wurde das Projekt im Jahr 2009 ins Leben gerufen.

Ziel der OpenSeaMap ist es, für den Seemann interessante nautische und touristische Information in die freie Weltkarte einzutragen und in nautisch ansprechender Weise darzustellen. Dazu gehören Leuchtfeuer, Tonnen und andere Seezeichen, Seewetter, Hafen-Informationen, Reparaturwerkstätten, Schiffszubehör und vieles mehr, aber auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten.

FUNKTIONEN:
- Anzeige von Seezeichen, Wasserwegen, Sperrgebieten, Tauchspots etc.
- LIVE & Offline-Zugriff auf aktuelles Kartenmaterial
- Speicherung/Caching von bis zu 1 Million Teilkarten
- HD Seekarte, 13-Stufen-Kartenzoom
- Optische Zoomfunktion um Lesbarkeit beliebig anzupassen
- Chartplotter für kontinuierliche Positionsanzeige
- Wegpunkte anlegen, ändern, löschen, abrufen und beliebig exportieren
- Wetterdaten als Overlay (Niederschlag, Wind, Luftdruck, Temperatur, Wellen)
- Angepasst für neuste iOS Version

Je nach Zoomstufe habe ich immer wieder Kartenfehler trotz stabilem Netz.
Navigationszeichen sind vorhanden aber so winzig (und nicht in der Größe einstellbar), dass sie mir nichts nützen.

Dieses Projekt hat das Spiel nicht verstanden - diese App enthält keinerlei Tiefenangaben. Die Angabe der Wassertiefen ist ein absolutes Muss in einer Seekarte. Um es klar zu sagen, eine solche Seekarte ist gefährlich, weil überhaupt nicht zu erkennen ist, wo ich denn nun mit meinen Schiff entlang fahren kann. Open hin oder her - da muss dick drüber geschrieben werden, bitte nicht zum navigieren nutzen!

Obwohl die Karten-offline Funktion angepriesen wird, ist es nicht möglich. Seetiefen werden nicht angezeigt, die App-Menüs sind unvollständig... sehr schlecht !

Die App ist eine Katastrophe. Es dauert ewig, bis die Karte dargestellt wird - und das auf aktuellster Hardware. An besonderen Features wird leider auch nichts geboten was diese lange Wartezeit entlohnen würde.

Die Karten selbst sind hervorragend. Schade, dass es keine Alternative zu dieser App gibt - das Kartenmaterial hat eindeutig Besseres verdient.

Vielleicht könnte man nach 3 Jahren mal wieder ein Update zu Markte bringen...

Es werden weder Wassertiefen angezeigt, noch lassen sich Entfernung berechnen, eigene festgelegte Positionen bleiben nur in der List abrufbar, werden nicht angezeigt. Habe die Pro Version gekauft, aber die bietet nur die Möglichkeit mehr Wegepunkte zu speichern. Das sie abstürzt kommt als weitere Kritikpunkt dazu. So wird die Idee von Open Surce missbraucht.
