Description

OptoSense is an app with optokinetic (OPK) stripes/images, designed to elicit optokinetic nystagmus (OKN).
With the Interactive function the task becomes more cognitive demanding and therefore the drill will also become more beneficial.
OptoSense is designed for handheld devices. OPK images size, direction and speed can be adjusted and utilized for eye training, such as smooth pursuits and saccades.
To elicit the OKN response, simply place the device, displaying the desired images, in front of the eyes.
Eye training is relevant through all phases of life and therefore OptoSense can be utilized at any given age. OptoSense is made child relevant, with a wide selection of different images and with “Next Level OPK” bundle (in-app purchase) it is also highly relevant for athletes at any age and levels.
“Interactive” and “Random” can help to make the task more fun, but also more cognitive demanding and therefore the drill will also become more beneficial.
When “Interactive” is activated, the images will temporarily dissolve when pressed on. The app user can choose any given image to dissolve, for example choose only the green balloons, or only the balloons with stars on
When “Random” is activated, the OPK images will appear in random order, which can contribute to increase the level of difficulty and make the drill become even more beneficial.
For inspiration to utilize “Interactive” and “Random”, go to www.optosense.app
When the OptoSense is purchased, it includes; the “Basic“ bundle, “Interactive”, “Random” and “Direction lock”.
The basic bundle includes 6 image scrolls: black and white stripes, black shapes, balloons, dinosaurs, mixed animals and space.
Additional image bundles can be purchased “in-app”– each bundle includes 4 new image scrolls.
“Next Level OPK” can be purchased “in-app”, it includes 7 images scrolls, each scroll contains 8 images. 2 image scrolls with different Stroop variations, 1 image scroll with black arrows in 8 “compass directions”, 1 image scroll with red/green arrows in 4 different directions, 1 image scroll with coordination tasks, 1 image scroll with red/green ”Go/NoGo”, and 1 image scroll with 8 different sports balls.
