Showed up to pick up vehicle, and was told that there would be a $1000 credit card deposit, plus an extra $11.95 a day insurance cost, even though I booked and added the insurance protection as part of the rental agreement. The funds were supposed to be in Canadian dollars, and the agreement stated that funds were in Canadian dollars, but was told by the rental agent, that the funds were in US dollars. There were several people at the rental office that had been there for over an hour, trying to sort out the same problems that I was facing, and the overall experience was terrible. I cancelled the rental, and now have to go and fight to get the insurance coverage payment returned for a vehicle that I did not get.
