With the ability to set up an automatic allowance directly from a parent’s debit card to their children’s Osper account, there’s no more scrambling for change when pocket money day comes around. Pocket money arrives in your child’s account automatically, ready for them to save or spend. Osper gives parents complete oversight of what their children are buying and with the touch of a button they can enable or disable online spending, cash withdrawals or contactless payments. I was enjoying my experience with Osper, until I used a ATM that took masters cards, but to my surprise the ATM took my card for “ security “ reasons. I put my pin in right and I’d had paid the monthly fee. It was ridiculous. If I didn’t have change on me I would have been stranded. I suggest before you consider using Osper, look into other options. -- HEHEABC321, 2024-07-12 ### **--- "It should be good but it’s so hit and miss" In general the card is a good way to set them on their way to having a bit of independence and understanding of money , but unfortunately it has proven to be so unreliable for my son that he’s lost confidence in it . It regularly gets declined by shops for no reason and has happened on school trips , days out with friends etc . Why charge 50p for every time you load a card with money, you already charge £2.50 for EACH card per month, the extra money for each time someone puts money into it, apart from setting up monthly/weekly allowance is just a rip off. You even charge if your kid puts their money that you've give them into your parent account and you want to give them some of this money back ?!?!? PayPal doesn't charge each time you send or have money from a family member/friend and they don't even have a monthly fee. Drop the 50p PER amount/load, It stops people using it as much as they could and MasterCard definitely doesn't need more money.
