Loaded with new features in 2.0! Use OTAMap to find and point your antenna to all your Over The Air (OTA) television and FM stations. OTAMap gives you the latest Over The Air (OTA) television/FM station information. for all of the continental USA, Alaska, Canada, Hawaii, Northern Mexico and some US territories such as Puerto Rico. OTA Map will list all OTA channels/stations within 150 miles of your current geographical position as indicated by your iPhone/iPad. With this tool you can quickly see what OTA stations may be available in your area. With OTAMap you can view the position of the transmission towers, of any of these Over The Air television stations, in relationship to you. This can be used to help adjust your HD OTA antenna for local reception, for that hard to get station, or even the far far away channel that you have been trying to "DX" for quite a while. Whether you are on your roof or turning your rotor from your living room, OTAMap can help you. *****Note to Northern Canadian Users: OTAMap does work everywhere in Canada (including Edmonton), however you may need to flip on the Industry Canada Data in the preferences. Some of the new features in 2.0 Now you can choose between FM or TV stations •You can filter station list based on distance, power, FCC data, Industry Canada data, Canadian, Mexican and US stations. •You can now even filter based on whether your location falls within a stations 41 dBU Contours! •You can sort the displayed stations by distance, channel, power or even it's bearing from you. •Save and recall locations. •Do locations based on -Actual GPS -Entered GPS (IOS 6.1 and higher only) -ZIP/postal code (IOS 6.1 and higher only) -Street Address (IOS 6.1 and higher only) -Or a previously saved location. •Download and update latest FCC station data anytime. •No longer server based. Some functionality will run without a network connection. If a particular map was previously loaded, even mapping functionality may work offline. •Fixed magnetic declination (no longer IRC dependent) (may be off as you near the Arctic Circle). •Added ability to add stations/save maps to a DX list. The list can be pulled up anytime and the pointing maps reviewed. •Added Super Contour Map. Given a particular location it -will list all stations that fall within the 41/60 dBu contour map which should indicate stations that should be received relatively easily. Will show curves of all coverage contours and darken overlapping sections. The resulting stations can then be viewed as your filtered station list. •Added a search for call sign option. This will allow mapping of super long range reception or help in obscure DX attempts. •Now works for all of the Great White North - Uses IRC data for anything not included in the FCC database. •In the station pointing map view the map can be updated if the users gps determination has changed. •In the station pointing and the all station map views, you can drag the home icon to say a different part of the roof/yard and the calculations will follow. •You can erase your downloaded data (which may include FCC FM/TV database and any cached contours) and restore to original data from preference menu. ## OTAMap Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple211/v4/d4/a0/a1/d4a0a143-e9bb-6251-a455-01a56e004cfa/mzl.bjknfeni.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple221/v4/7c/af/8c/7caf8c6c-451d-4051-d449-8cd00b728c2a/mzl.mvqolhnr.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple211/v4/fb/c2/9a/fbc29acc-d234-274a-59ce-8692575dc539/mzl.xxqudnii.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple221/v4/06/ec/39/06ec399f-faa7-5602-2b83-edaa2c70c3ce/mzl.wsxrqyxr.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple221/v4/29/c8/00/29c8001b-0bff-3161-560a-5b43a77ddb30/mzl.xdchmlii.png/640x960.png) ## OTAMap Rating Breakdown in Canada - 5 stars: 4 (44%) - 4 stars: 0 (0%) - 3 stars: 1 (11%) - 2 stars: 1 (11%) - 1 stars: 3 (33%) ## OTAMap Reviews in Canada ### *---- "Better info for free" You are far better off with more pertinent and accurate data at certain websites for free (ie tvfool) This app excluded terrain making a nearby tower completely obstructed by a mountain look good. The fact is…you are far better off experimenting at ground level than even the best available advice at any price. -- jjstrybosch, 2020-07-15 ### *---- "NOT FOR EDMONTON ALBERTA" Do not buy if you live in Edmonton, AB. Does absolutely nothing. Save your cash. -- Gingerfest, 2017-02-18 ### ***** "Great App !!" A rarity these days: a properly implemented single function app with a clean user interface and fast input response. Helped me re-aim my antenna for optimum reception. And yes - I'm in Edmonton (turn on "Include Industry Canada Data" in Settings). -- Rod-In-Alberta, 2016-07-08 ### *---- "No help in Edmonton." Useless for me. Says there are no stations near me. -- Atalak, 2015-03-07 ### ***** "Simple, Detailed and Great" I watch all my TV over the air. This is an easy to use app that shows me where my channels are coming from. It gives me info on the channels, detailed maps etc. I can also plug in family or friends addresses to see what channels they can get. Very impressed. Love this App. Well done. -- S183, 2014-10-19 ### ***** "Bravo!" Voici un outil formidable pour repérer les stations OTA de sa région. Très pratique pour orienter l'antenne TV afin d'optimiser le signal. Donne également beaucoup d'informations sur chacune des stations. -- L_Jim, 2014-08-30 ### ***** "Great app" App does exactly as it's supposed. A little pricy there are not many other apps like this so I didn't mind paying. Useful for installers and residential antenna setup. Compass points directly where the tower is located. Also shows magnetic and true north bearing for antenna based on your location. I used the app to aim 8 bay HD Channel Master antenna in Toronto. I ended up getting 25 channels due to obstructions by trees then installed Channel Master Booster and now I am happily streaming 29 channels. I would definitely recommend it to anybody installing an antenna for quick and easy aiming. -- Bradster1000, 2014-08-14 ### *---- "Needs work" Need to be able to manually enter your location. Crashes if it can't find your location automatically. $2 down the tubes at this point. -- Portland67, 2013-08-08 ### ****- "Worked great for me" It's really nice to be able to have this data with me. It helps when I try to explain ota to people who have never heard of it. Also it gave me motivation to switch from a set top antenna which just wasn't picking things up even though I live downtown. -- Landii7, 2011-09-18 ### ***** "Does not work in Edmonton" Contacted OTA dev and still does not work in Edmonton AB. -- Jarmedia, 2011-09-18 [View all OTAMap reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## OTAMap Available In - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/canada) - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/united-states) - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/australia) - [Switzerland](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/switzerland) - [Chile](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/chile) - [China](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/china) - [Colombia](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/colombia) - [Algeria](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/algeria) - [Ecuador](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/ecuador) - [United Kingdom](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/united-kingdom) - [Israel](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/israel) - [Armenia](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/armenia) - [Japan](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/japan) - [Kuwait](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/kuwait) - [Lebanon](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/lebanon) - [Mexico](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/mexico) - [New Zealand](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/new-zealand) - [Philippines](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/philippines) - [Russia](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/russia) - [Saudi Arabia](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/saudi-arabia) - [Thailand](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/thailand) - [Türkiye](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/turkey) - [Taiwan](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/taiwan) - [Ukraine](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/ukraine) - [Iceland](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/iceland) - [Brazil](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/brazil) - [Belarus](https://apptail.io/app/otamap-Uknd/belarus) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
