Description

Oticon Companion provides you with discreet, improved control over your hearing aids – so you can personalize your listening experience for any environment, find your hearing aids if they become lost, get remote support from your hearing care professional when you need it, and much more.

The Oticon Companion App is compatible with all Oticon Bluetooth® hearing aids. However, some app features may require a specific hearing aid model or a firmware update. Please consult your hearing care professional for assistance with firmware updates.

With Oticon Companion, you can:

• Adjust the volume of your hearing aids and various settings (e.g. remote microphone, noise reduction, and sound and streaming equalizer)
• Switch between predefined programs according to the different listening situation you are in
• Monitor your battery levels
• Help you find your hearing aids if you lose them
• Use SpeechBooster to reduce background noise and enhance speech when you need to focus on conversation.
• Use your device as a remote microphone and get better access to the voice of another speaker in noisy environments
• Customize your surrounding sounds with the sound equalizer*
• Set and track hearing aid wear-time goals with the HearingFitness™ feature*
• Use the streaming equalizer for a personalized listening experience. The streaming equalizer is available for all Oticon Bluetooth® hearing aids except Oticon Opn™ and Oticon Siya
• Have your hearing aids adjusted and receive counseling from the comfort of your own home – via a live video call with your hearing care professional
• Handle wireless accessories paired with your hearing aids; control multiple TV Adapters or devices, such as Oticon EduMic or ConnectClip, which can be used both for streaming and as a remote microphone

Frustrated with the App rather than the hearing device

I have deleted and reinstalled the app so many times now it’s ridiculous…either only one of my hearing aids link and not the other or when trying to connect I get spinning disks ….this is precious wasted time Oticon please !! There have to be developers out there who can produce a descent App …how long do we have to shout about the app …your company will carry the same poor reviews soon

Not impressed

I have to agree with an earlier review of this app, the previous version was much more user friendly. This morning opened app to check battery life before leaving home. First page where you can have general or option to override background noise this would change between the options. Usually it just spins around for 3-4 minutes with no result which is super frustrating. I then changed to the battery level screen where I was informed both batteries are disconnected despite the fact I can hear they are not!!! Based on the very low score on the reviews cant you just go back to the previous version that works?

New app too slow & requires frequent pairing

The older app was great. Myself & partner struggle with new app as it’s unworkably slow to connect to hearing aids & usage on TV connector. Frequently have to repair hearing aids.

New App

This works fine for me and is an improvement over the old App Support is top rate all my questions answered quickly and solved any issues I had.

I hate this app

I much preferred the old app as it connected without me having to do anything and as soon as I opened app I was able to switch programmes. This new companion app stinks. It takes a while to load which is VERY unhelpful when trying to desperately get to the meeting programme and bump up the volume in a hurry so as not to miss what is being said. I also HATE that you have to adjust the volume individually for each hearing aid rather than how it was with the old app, changing the volume together. Overall I hate this but I’m forced to use it because oticon retired the old app in what appears to be a spectacular case of if it’s not broke don’t fix it.

Disaster

This app is full of bugs: as soon as I pair my hearing aids they start behaving randomly. I have tried everything even reinstalling, to no avail. Perhaps you should reactivate the old one until this one is fixed.

Disappointed. This app is very difficult. Struggling to pair and adjust volume to enable hearing!!

Pairing Issues

The old app “Oticon On” is more reliable to connect with my hearing aids. The new version “Oticon Control” is a lot more flakey and takes longer, often it takes 3 tries.

Poor reliability of App

I much preferred the original App. This version despite regular updates is so unreliable. On a regular basis I have to delete and then reinstall the App to get it to work. Very frustrating. Ross

Hopelessly unreliable

The most unreliable app I have ever owned! I have to delete the app and reinstall just to get a connection. I Won’t buy oticon again as their knowledge of technology is risible. Very sad to say
