## Ottawa Citizen Reviews in Canada

### *---- "A huge fail!"
This used to be my go to app every morning. The new version is nothing but a poorly disguised money grab. I guess they figure if social media is not allowed to publish Canadian news then this is the perfect opportunity to start charging. Nothing but greed and terrible app developers. Perhaps the OTrain architects were involved in this yet again Ottawa based fiasco.
-- Scottfromottawa, 2024-11-07

### *---- "It’s a ripoff"
I subscribed to the ‘digital edition’ and they charged my Visa. But tapping on any article displays “This content is available to subscribers only”. Calling Postmedia customer service is a waste of time. They told me to delete the app and download it again, which made no difference.

Today I updated to the latest version of the app. Same thing. Don’t waste your money or your time.
-- zeus eurynome, 2024-10-02

### *---- "Paywall!"
It official this app is now a paywall. I deleted it.
-- MauriceChartrand, 2024-05-28

### *---- "New design is awful"
Links are showing only on quarter of page. Rest is white space. When you click link, it opens page and picture take 90% of page. On third link it ask to login. Not sure what is a purpose of this app at all.
-- DjUro20, 2024-05-12

### *---- "Headlines only"
Stick with web, why let them track your phone with this weak excuse for an app.
-- TexAUS, 2024-04-25

### *---- "Only paid content"
This app used to be my “Go To” app for local Ottawa news. This new update only lets me view content if I’m a paid subscriber. No thanks, deleting app as it’s now absolutely useless. Bad decision and such a shame.
-- None20242024, 2024-04-22

### *---- "Full of ads and still can not read local news"
Why show me a headline in between so many ads that I am not allowed to read. I just search online and read it anyway. And now I won’t see any of your ads.
-- peac0003, 2024-04-11

### *---- "What’s the point of this app?"
No search function. Never sends alerts (yes, I have the feature turned on). Limited content. Why even bother??
-- TiinaOttawa, 2023-11-03

### ***-- "Improvement idea"
You need to provide nicer news. Most of your reports are depressing to all of us.
-- Philip144, 2023-05-02

### *---- "Fails over and over again. Requires constant restart."
This may be the worst app ever written! It can load two articles to read before needing to close and restart. After a morning of doing this a dozen times, I manage to get through the day’s news. Pathetic treatment of a customer base. Is it any wonder newspapers are struggling?
