I love otter, it makes my life so easy! I am a content creator/blogger so it’s such an easy way to record my vlog and upload it or directly recording the voice note that gets transcribed immediately. You can even connect it to your zoom calls ! I save incredible amount of time!

Awesome app. The text selection to highlight could be improved by click and hold + drag. I would love to highlight and add relates notes with pencil and, if posible, handwriting text recognition.

It’s really good! With the free version you have more than enough for several interviews or meetings and it’s just close to flawless usually. Thinking about getting the paid version cause it offers even more, thank you for the app!

I just wish it’d be available in Spanish

En inglés funciona razonablemente bien , pero cual es el punto de publicar una aplicación en la store española si no soporta español? La gracia está en la transcripción pero si no es capaz de transcribir en español entonces no tiene utilidad alguna en España. La descripción no avisa de que no funciona en español. A no ser que seas hablante en inglés y tengas una cuenta en la store en español, la aplicación te hace perder el tiempo.

Otter used to be an easy to use AI to rewrite your input. Now it’s become something I can’t even use to do that basic function! I would cancel my membership if I had already paid for lifetime membership.

It’s an ok tool that will give bullet points and transcribe your conversations (somewhat) however it has a hard time distinguishing who is talking and the platform is very glitchy. Often times you will get clear audio of the conversation you don’t really need but will skip the parts of the conversation that are important and needing to hear. Very very unreliable and consistent. The platform itself needs a lot of work. For example I hit record for a meeting and it made the response as if it was recording for me to come back and see it recorded nothing. Missed the most important parts of the meeting and didn’t get the job done. If you are needing something entry level work or for fun and games then this is fine but if in important meetings and needing something dependable I would use something else. In the process of looking for something better cuz this app ain’t it.

I’ve had a Pro subscription for over two years at $99.99 and was happy to pay that price based on the value that I was receiving from the App. I was alerted that the subscription pricing would be increasing with my renewal in July from $99.99 to $129.99 a 30% increase. I thought it was an extremely high increase but renewed it because it has been extremely helpful and valuable to me as a user. Little did I know they would be taking away some of the benefits that I previously had as a Pro user. Today I received a notification from the app that I used up all of my transcription minutes of 1200 minutes for the month. Previously I was receiving 6,000 transcription minutes. In fairness, Otter had sent out an email alerting me of the pricing increase before the renewal of my subscription and laid out what benefits I would receive. My assumption on my part was that because I was paying the hefty 30% increase that my benefits would not only be the same as the previous two years but would be even better. I guess that’s on me but had I known that I wouldn’t have renewed as 1,200 minutes is not nearly enough for anyone that has multiple meetings 5 days a week. It would’ve been nice if Otter had explained what the changes were with a comparison of the old Pro subscription versus the new Pro subscription but obviously had they done that most of their loyal subscribers wouldn’t have renewed. Feeling duped and disappointed. Because if this change I definitely have lost trust in Otter and won’t be renewing my subscription next year.
