So, you can access learning materials to study wherever and whenever you like. Benefits of using the OU Study app include: - Easy access to your module materials and study planner. - Download learning materials to study offline. - Keep track of key dates and progress. - Never miss a forum message. The OU Study app is for Open University students who are registered on a course or qualification. Sign in using your OU username and password (the same one you use to sign in to the website). Free or paid-for learning content from partners such as OpenLearn or FutureLearn is not available in the app.  If you're experiencing any unexplained issues, check our Troubleshooting guide: For any urgent and access queries, contact the computing helpdesk at ou-scdhd@open.ac.uk. USEFUL TIPS - There is a lot of information on your module website. So, it will take a few minutes for the app to load the first time you use it. Use a Wi-Fi connection for your first use. As the app caches some information, it will get quicker. - Download learning materials individually and batch download by week using Course downloads. Return to the Planner to access downloaded materials. If you need to free up space, delete them from the Course downloads screen. - The Planner within the app remembers the week you were studying last time. So, you can continue studying easily. You can always navigate to the current week to keep track of the key dates. - The OU Study app and your module website are synced. As you tick completed resources or save an answer, both the module website and the app are updated. - The majority of your module activities will be available in the app. Yet, for some, you will be directed to your browser to use the mobile version of the module website. - We try to prioritise requirements based on user feedback. If you have any feedback or suggestions, use the Feedback function within the app or leave a review on the App Store. We regret that we can’t always reply to these directly, but we’re keen to hear your thoughts. But, it’s held back by a lack of zooming in on texts or increasing the font size. My eyes get tired easily trying to read the small text on an ipad mini, can’t imagine how mobile users handle it. So due to that issue I’m ignoring this app and sticking to the web version where I can zoom to my hearts content. -- mtyler87, 2024-09-18 ### **--- "Poor accessibility / text size options" After finding the OU web based interface really annoying to use especially recently, I thought this app would be better. On my iPad the text was quite small, so I used the text size option in settings. This changed the menu text but not the course material text. I tried the iOS built in text resize / dynamic text, and that isn’t supported by this app either. Very disappointed overall, I need bigger text. Still haven’t found a solution that works for me for OU mobile study. -- DrinkMoreTea, 2024-09-04 ### **--- "Not an app just a port" This is basically the same as if you were to load up the website. That’s it. Pretty poor to be honest. -- Biznisman4573, 2024-06-06 ### ***** "Extremely helpful" This app has helped me through my three years so far, I don’t think I would have done so well without it. With this app on my phone and my iPad, I have been able to access it everywhere I go. Thanks for keeping this app running so well, I’m a very grateful student. -- Gdyahahhdjx, 2024-05-14 ### *---- "Awful" App notifications are broken 💀 -- XxWindowCleanerxX, 2024-04-21 ### ***-- "Okay" Keeps login you out and than u have to mess around logging back in everyday. Not the best experience but its free so I appreciate it -- Rob tilt, 2023-12-20 ### **--- "Not great for accessibility" As a visually impaired student, I have tools accessible to me, like GoodNotes to be able to zoom in and take notes comfortably, or iOS text settings such as making text bold to read easier. Sadly, although there is a function to enlarge text within the app, this doesn’t appear to make any difference to the course material. Therefore, if you’re viewing on an iPad, this can become uncomfortable after a while due to the small text size and inability to zoom in. It would be great to get this fixed to improve the experience of the app. -- JaRyan92, 2023-12-09 ### ***** "Really useful study tools" Obviously, I do my main studying the website on my laptop, but the app is a really great add-on while out and about. Particularly the option to download the content for offline use. -- T J Hunt, 2023-11-23 ### *---- "Needs improving drastically" Students pay a lot of money to study. The least the OU could do is make a app that’s not slow and have better functionalities. If not all links on the app take you to an external site. The planner is very buggy. The app itself need improving as a whole. Considering they’ve been developing it for a few years, not much difference has been made and I don’t know how this has not been a priority especially in the tech world we live in currently. The app is very disappointing. My initial thoughts were OU would have this covered considering they have been in business pre covid so they theoretically be experts at this, however the app say otherwise. This isn’t money well spent at all. -- Think ur a big man, 2023-09-29 ### *---- "Disappointing" Deleted the app after an hour of studying when I noticed that notes I made in text boxes were not saved either in the app or browser, so I’ve lost work and time. -- Matteo Morango, 2023-09-23 [View all OU Study reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## OU Study Store Rankings | Chart | Country | Category | Rank | |-------|---------|----------|------| | Top Free | United Kingdom | Education | #161 | ## OU Study Discovered Keywords -
