## OurJewishStory Description
Our Jewish Story: A Global Jewish Storytelling Archive
Discover the power of conversation in preserving Jewish history, heritage, and identity. Our Jewish Story (OJS) is a community-driven video archive where Jewish individuals and institutions share real stories, reflect on meaningful experiences, and engage across generations.
From classrooms to community centers, museums to mobile phones—OJS brings authentic voices into the light.
Built on asynchronous video technology and enhanced by AI tools, OJS supports interviews and storytelling that transcend borders, languages, and time zones.
Why Choose Our Jewish Story?
Preserve Personal & Community Histories
Capture family legacies, community memories, and cultural reflections through high-quality, async video responses—anytime, anywhere.
AI-Supported Questions & Educational Prompts
Not sure how to begin? Use curated question sets developed with Jewish educators, historians, and archivists—or create your own.
Conversational Archives for the Next Generation
Whether in a classroom or around a family table, OJS enables everyone to ask questions, receive meaningful answers, and build a living archive of shared Jewish experience.
Accessible, Collaborative Interviews
Invite a grandparent to record from Israel. Ask a Holocaust survivor to share for a class in Los Angeles. Collaborate with schools, museums, or partner organizations to grow the archive.
Real-Time Transcription & Multilingual Support
OJS auto-transcribes all content and is optimized for Hebrew, English, and more—ensuring stories are both searchable and accessible.
Flexible Sharing & Sponsorship Tools
Users can privately share videos, publish them in institutional collections, or allow global access. Sponsors and educators can curate story bundles and thematic collections.
