A Happy Surprise About Ads!
This game is simple and fun, but it’s not mindless — you need to think to plan the best place to put each tile. If you only have a couple minutes to squeeze in some game play, Ouroboros is perfect, as you can stop at any point, and then start playing later from where you left off. Most review comments about ads in other games are to complain that there are too many ads, (which is true with a lot of games). But that doesn’t apply to this game. After you’ve played for a while and advance in the game, you’ll be earning more points, which means you’ll see fewer and less frequent ads. I think that is wonderful! But that’s not the best part for me. The HAPPY SURPRISE is that when you have watched an ad and click on the “x” to close it, THE AD CLOSES RIGHT AWAY!!! One click! I get so aggravated with ads in other games that require you to click “x” or “DONE” repeatedly, as the ad switches from one page to another and back again repeatedly until you finally get it to close. Sometimes it takes 8-10 clicks or even more — and some ads I’ve seen recently last more than 30 seconds! I hate that! But with Ouroboros, the ads don’t argue with you about closing — when it is time for them to close, one click and they close. I assume the game developers set it up this way — which I very much appreciate. I find the ads that won’t close to be disrespectful — like they think that making me have to spend more time with the ad while trying to close it is going to somehow make me decide to download the game.
