Outdoor Route Planner:
Our Route Planner lets you easily plan and create routes based on your preferences. You can add text and photos to these, publish them within the Community or share them privately with friends. You can also import and export GPX files as required.

Recording your own Tracks:
The tracking functionality allows you to record your own tracks to include duration, distance, altitudes and an interactive altitude profile. Data from your iPhone's motion sensors can help us give you even more accurate results.

Do not recommend this app

I lost all my maps when I migrated from ViewRanger.After complaint I recovered only 3 of them.Now I even cannot add any trail to my map.They even did not explained me what happened with my detailed maps(1:50scale)of Spain,Baleares,UK and others.IDo not recommend this app to any customer.

Can’t say I’m happy with the new app. Loved view ranger and have invested a lot in mapping, some of which is not now available. Also seems to require a network connection to work, downloading sections is limited to too small areas an the app screen can fail to load mapping from time to time. Bring back vow ranger...

A happy hiker

I was along time view ranger user. When it was first announced I was disappointed to be losing view ranger as like most men I hate change. When I migrated over in December I saw that my OSI maps that I had purchased hadn’t migrated with my routes. I emailed the app provider and got a swift response. I’m happy to say the issue is now resolved and I am actively using outdoor active. I would recommend this to anyone who’s serious about their hiking. A great app with a great customer service behind it.
