I love it!

This app used to be great. But the recent major rewrite has been a disaster from a UX perspective, despite “fixes” from the developer, and his praise for his work to make this app more maintainable. The worst part is the chapter list, but the main screen and the playing screen is so badly designed. I have now given up hope of this being addressed so I will, sadly, try to find a replacement.

Easily the best podcast player out there

If I add an episode in pod B to queue (when the queue is empty), it doesn’t play it after the current episode in pod A. I think it should and I don’t understand what the point is of having a queue otherwise. For example, before I drive far with my car, I queue up some episodes from different pods I want to listen to. Then I expect to hear those episodes in the queued order. I don’t. Instead I need to stop the car and fiddle with the app or try to do it while driving, which could be dangerous. It is very annoying. I also can’t see what pods I subscribe to have unheard episodes or not in a simple list. I have tried using the new tab thing but then I’m just confused and annoyed when I can’t find the pod I’m looking for (because it has no recent episodes). I do not listen to all the episodes of all the pods I subscribe to. Maybe if you listen to *everything* you are subscribed to the current gui makes sense. For me it does not.

The old version worked perfectly for me but now playback randomly stops, sometimes buffering stops, my queue randomly gets reset. Time to find a working app

Since the ”Downloads” button disappeared I find it difficult to download all episodes of a new podcast at once. I’m going back to Apple’s podcast app.
