The trauma has effected me both physically and mentally. I’ve tried many times to fly again booking paying looking forward even checking in … Sadly and very expensively walking away at the last minute. I decided to try your app . I listened to the audio daily for 3 months ( it almost felt like I was going crazy … ground hog day ) …. This August 2024 I’ve just returned from a trip to Palma (2hr 10) flight . I listened to the audio on loop and can honestly say if it wasn’t for the familiar calm voice I’d never have achieved the journey . Many thanks for your help on confronting my demons . I wouldn’t say I’m completely cured of my irrational fear but hey it’s a good start and the next flight I take I’m going to listen for the first 30 mins then try and open my eyes . I got through long haul flights by gripping the arms of the seat or who ever was next to me and just praying I made it to my destination in one piece! Before a 10 hour flight to Florida I decided to try hypnosis. I downloaded this app and listened to it every day for two weeks before my flight date. I had no idea if it was going into my subconscious but I kept listening. I even had it on during the drive to the airport! Once on the plane, I got comfortable in my seat and asked for a newspaper and a drink. As the plane started to take off I was happily reading the sports section of the paper without a care in the world! I have had a terrible fear of flying since childhood after my mum was in a plane crash. She did survive but her heightened fears were passed onto me as a child. I couldn't even look at a plane in the sky or drive past an airport without having a panic attack. I didn't fly until I was 39 years old but every flight since then has been utter torture. Only those who suffer will know what I mean. I sit in the seat in a constant state of panic gripping the arm rest & crying my eyes out. It got particularly bad last year after a difficult flight and we cancelled a trip to Florida. I found Glenn's recordings after struggling with generalised panic attacks after been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress recently. I started with the general relaxation and after noticing a huge difference in my anxiety levels I thought I would try this fear of flying recording ! Oh my goodness !!! It's just AMAZING! We booked a holiday to Portugal ( 2hrs 40min) and I can't believe how much better I was. Yes I still had a few nerves ( and I will never aspire to be an air hostess) but overall it was a 100% improvement ! I didn't cry and I didn't cling onto my seat and I wasn't squeezing my husbands hand till I bruised it! I even got up mid flight and used the bathroom ! Whoa ! Me getting up alone on a plane and walking about !! That's a first ! Best thing of all the time passed SO quick as Glenn said it would. Wow ! This app is life changing.
