Choose. Copy. Create. The process is simple: Connect your iPhone or iPad to an external drive. Select the photo or video you want to copy and how you want to copy it. Then just click the “Copy That” button and you’re done. Why use Copy That Mobile? • More room: transferring photos and videos to an external drive frees up space on devices, enabling space for additional apps and OS upgrades • Extends use life: great for limited storage space on older iOS devices • Effortless sharing: external drives make it much easier to share files with desktops, laptops, and other users • Copy Anywhere: transfer files to almost any destination, including attached external storage and even network shares • Duplicate with ease: once data is copied to external storage, data duplication and backups are easier and faster
 Smart, Safe, Fast.
Copy That Mobile includes smart copy functions that streamline the copy process. You can exclude screenshots and selfies and decide what you want to do with existing files. Copy That Mobile puts you in control of your data. These settings are sticky: Once they are set, they become your default settings until you change them. This makes it a breeze to copy files in batches whenever you need. In-app purchases give additional copy features including: * Verified copies to make sure your files are safe * Option to remove original files from your device after the copy is complete. * Option to filter media to be copied by date * Options to customize folder organization on the destination disk How it works:
1. Copy what? Select the photos and video you want to copy. 2. Copy where? Pick your copy destination. 3. Copy how? Choose specific copy options. 4. Press the big, blue “Copy That!” button to start the copy. You no longer have to click and click to copy photos and videos. Copy That Mobile makes the process quick and easy. Need to check the speed of your external drives on your mobile device? Check out OWC Drive Speed! Note: Most external disks will require a separate power supply, although basic thumb drives often work directly. * If you have an iPhone or iPad with a USB-C port, you can connect directly to external storage with the appropriate cable. * If your iPhone or iPad has a Lightning port, you’ll need a Lightning-to-USB adapter. Some disks will need a Lightning-to-USB adapter with an additional Lightning port to provide extra power. As always, a quality product from OWC. Use it all the time to move photos off the iphone to a hard drive. LOVE IT! -- JBeechcraft, 2026-01-21 ### *---- "Very Slow Now To Back Up" Why of all the sudden it’s taking a long time to back up files now? It used to be so quick. -- ilokano, 2025-10-09 ### ***-- "Works fine BUT it doesn’t copy your edited photos" It worked fine for me. Then I realized it only copies your original unedited photos. I spend a lot of time editing and I would lose all those edits if I had to rely on my Copy That backup. But I guess that’s better than losing everything in case my phone gets lost/stolen. I deleted the app and now use the native Files app to copy my edited photos to a USB drive. Easy peasy. -- HH in FLL, 2025-07-22 ### ***** "Backup to Flash Memory Card" This program is the best way to backup and copy photos and videos from my phone. I have a flash card USB C adapter which I plug into my iPhone 15. It is easy to select a date range and copy the files. I like that files already on the Flash Card can be skipped making the whole process quick. -- StephenElec, 2025-05-26 ### ****- "Good app but needs some improvements" I got the Samsung T7 SSD to backup my iPhone 15 Max Pro with 30,000 photos. The OWC Copy app works well , it’s fast and reliable. However, when selecting the destination I wish there were other options like Sync mode (copy only new or updated pics) and most importantly to be able to select destination folder by Year, or Year and Month. Allowing to copy Files , Notes etc would be helpful as well. -- Jade can, 2024-12-22 ### **--- "Solved one problem, created a bigger one." It did manage to copy over 2500 photos successfully. Paid the $2.99 to remove the original files, but it seems Photos fights back. Now there’s 200gb on my Photos app that can’t be removed. No photos in the app, just a bunch of data that can’t be moved. No option but to go to Apple Support to get this fixed. More headache than it’s worth. -- YukesMusic, 2024-10-21 ### *---- "Makes life worse not better :(" Awesome concept and nice design but technically frustrating and unreliable. Review is for paid version. I am using an iPhone 12 Pro. First attempt: Used an off-brand ExFAT formatted thumb drive to do the thing. **It literally bricked the drive.** The drive will now not open on any OS/device type including data extraction utilities. Bad. Second trial: decided to try with an APFS formatted thumb drive thinking toward data integrity. I let it run overnight. It copied a few photos, but failed about 1 GB in. Not okay. Will keep trying and update if it gets better. Otherwise this is an app to avoid. -- graemeearly, 2024-10-08 ### **--- "Copy That" Although the application offers a backup of files, it really does not accomplish what it says it can do. During the backing up of files, should Cooy That not find a particular file to backup, the process terminates. What the app should do is @bypass@ that file and present at the end of the backup, a list of all items not found or backed up. -- Gary_AV Tech, 2023-06-16 ### *---- "crashes within seconds on new iPad Air running latest ipadOS" Disappointed. I can’t even evaluate this app because I can’t get this app to even run for more than a couple seconds before it hard crashes. -- Mn jon bates, 2023-06-05 [View all OWC Copy That Mobile reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## OWC Copy That Mobile In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Unlock all features | $2.99 | ## OWC Copy That Mobile Discovered Keywords - owc copy that mobile ## Apps Similar to OWC Copy That Mobile - [Photo Manager Pro](https://apptail.io/app/photo-manager-pro-wwi/united-states) - [Find: A Modern Photo Manager](https://apptail.io/app/find-a-modern-photo-manager-irub/united-states) - [Peek-a-View](https://apptail.io/app/peek-a-view-auub/united-states) - [Photos Backup for NAS](https://apptail.io/app/photos-backup-for-nas-ojuc/united-states) - [Ultimate Backup App](https://apptail.io/app/ultimate-backup-app-lxNf/united-states) - [Offline Photo Storage](https://apptail.io/app/offline-photo-storage-kKNf/united-states) - [Cinemin by Tinrocket](https://apptail.io/app/cinemin-by-tinrocket-GWxn/united-states) - [Spatialify](https://apptail.io/app/spatialify-kVAo/united-states) - [Photoscope: Best Photo Picker](https://apptail.io/app/photoscope-best-photo-picker-uMep/united-states) - [Nitro Photo](https://apptail.io/app/nitro-photo-EExp/united-states) ## OWC Copy That Mobile Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/united-states) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/canada) - [United Kingdom](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/united-kingdom) - [France](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/france) - [Germany](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/germany) - [Italy](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/italy) - [Japan](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/japan) - [Belgium](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/belgium) - [Taiwan](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/taiwan) - [Finland](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/finland) - [Malaysia](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/malaysia) - [Netherlands](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/netherlands) - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/australia) - [New Zealand](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/new-zealand) - [Switzerland](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/switzerland) - [Peru](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/peru) - [Romania](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/romania) - [Russia](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/russia) - [Suriname](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/suriname) - [Thailand](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/thailand) - [South Africa](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/south-africa) - [Azerbaijan](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/azerbaijan) - [Bahrain](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/bahrain) - [Chile](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/chile) - [Colombia](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/colombia) - [Greece](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/greece) - [Hungary](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/hungary) - [Ireland](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/ireland) - [India](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/india) - [South Korea](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/south-korea) - [Kuwait](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/kuwait) - [Cayman Islands](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/cayman-islands) - [Lebanon](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/lebanon) - [Luxembourg](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/luxembourg) - [Norway](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/norway) - [Austria](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/austria) - [Bulgaria](https://apptail.io/app/owc-copy-that-mobile-hLde/bulgaria) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
