Maybe the developers should check their reviews because I’ve had the owner for four years now for both my kids, and I swear the app has not improved once. It never connects, always has to refresh, takes forever to load and the camera never wants to stay connected. You’d think paying so much for this product they’d make an app that actually works. Do better, Owlet.
I feel like the app has gotten worse over the past few months. It takes forever to load to see live heart rate and oxygen. I constantly have to close the app and re-open it. After a sleep session, it takes a while to “figure it out” before you can see the data. It’s overall very slow and glitchy. The text on the main page never displays properly (in between sessions). When it works it’s helpful, but it takes a while!
I’ve been pleased with the sock but the camera is horrible. Takes forever to load and always disconnects. And it’s not the wifi.
Love the device and it’s capabilities. But for how much money we spend on this, the app should be top of the line without so many glitches. Also, the historical data is not intuitive or helpful to know metrics at a glance. Currently, the app will not let me see her measurements. Some days, it works fine, but most of the time the app is slow or doesn’t work at all. Super disappointing.
This app was slapped together by someone that never used the device. Try it. Put the device on the baby and walk around with the baby and the app and see how you like it. Now imagine being the person that just spent too much money on this device and how frustrating it can be when sleep is interrupted by a poorly designed app.
Never in my life have I seen an app so problematic. Your baby monitor loses connection nonstop & you have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling the app over 100x to get it to work again. Very frustrating when you’re awake all night because you can’t see your babies on the expensive camera you paid for because of a terrible app. DO NOT recommend.
The Owlet’s actual product has been so helpful for me during my postpartum journey. When my baby was a newborn, it was so comforting waking up and seeing the green light on and knowing he was okay. Unfortunately, I cannot say I’ve had a great experience with the app.. it takes FOREVER to load and I have to refresh it multiple times before it works. This is so frustrating especially in the middle of the night when I want to see if baby is awake or not. It also always glitches and I feel like I can never trust the app to be accurate. Love the idea of the product and it has been super helpful, but the app is horrible and needs to be fixed asap. Exhausted parents need something more reliable!
The sock provides great comfort and peace of mind, but the app’s performance is abysmal. It is extremely slow, often taking an excessive amount of time to connect to the base station even when I’m right next to it—sometimes it fails to connect at all. Retrieving sleep data should not take 10 minutes. Additionally, the sleep history is difficult to read due to the inconvenient splitting of the night session into two after midnight. For the high cost of the product, the app desperately needs a complete overhaul.
The sock itself is fine more or less but the app makes this thing very hard to use. It’s supposed to help save you some sleep instead constantly troubleshooting the app loses us sleep. The base station is set up within 20 feet of our WiFi router yet the app always claims to have issues connecting even though the base has the WiFi connection light illuminating. The app often says “dreamsock removed” and we can not get readings for serval hours we just have to trust that the station is working, which we don’t. If the app wasn’t so terrible I would recommend the sock but troubleshooting an app and base station at 2 am is ridiculous, so I don’t recommend it.
