What is with the ADs? Everytime I open the app, ad comes on. This isn’t why I got a camera to watch ads. Take them off the app or I’m going to have to switch to another camera company.

Gets as far as the spinning icon, but then the ad page fails to load. Just a plain white screen no further progress. Worked fine before the update.

Lots of bugs , app barely works . Recently updated the app in hopes it’ll work better , all they did was add some Ads to the app. A mandatory ad page you have to get past to get to your actual camera footage . App has been fine the last few years until recently ,  will be moving on to a new company and trashing this camera as soon as possible.

### *---- "Limited iPad Abilities"
Cannot go full screen on an iPad in multi view. Sometimes it will go full screen when turning the iPad horizontal, but it’s not reliable. We tap around on buttons and eventually it may work. So instead we have tiny video on a large iPad screen and there’s so much wasted space.

Edit August 2025: The app forces you to watch an ad before you can see the camera image. The ad takes forever to load, then the app counts down before you can close the ad. Highly recommend buying ANY other camera.

I have been using Owltron for the last 5 months and it’s been ok. Not great but good enough for my purposes.  In the last couple weeks the app has been nothing but ads and disconnects. If I wanted ads I’d get a game, not a security camera system. This and their “ai” which has turned on multiple times after disabling makes me extremely suspicious about its security and how safe my video actually is with them.

App worked well with my camera, but a recent update starting playing a full screen ad whenever you open the app. Even if you disable it, you get a full screen notification asking you to turn them back on. I already bought the camera, why am I getting ads to use it?

This app used to be better, but lately there are ads that take up the entire screen and are intentionally difficult to bypass. Purchase a different camera brand instead.
