TVs turn on and off. Planes lose radar. Radio stations can't broadcast through the static. In the small coastal town of Camena, unnaturally occurring electromagnetic waves are suddenly causing interference with electrical and radio equipment. Reluctantly, Riley Poverly returns to her hometown to investigate the mystery, but what she finds is more than she bargained for.

OXENFREE II: Lost Signals is the mind-bending follow-up to the critically-acclaimed narrative adventure game OXENFREE from Night School, a Netflix Game Studio. Play the new story as a standalone, or dive deeper into the OXENFREE universe by playing the original to find connections — it's your choice. As you play, you'll shape the story through your choices. How you choose to deal with the supernatural events at hand will forever alter the future in this thrilling story.

### *---- "Awful don’t waste time"
This has got to be one of the worst games. Characters are toooo tiny, actions in the game do not work. There’s a tiny walkie talkie that doesn’t work when u click. The game is annoying.  Confusing. Very uninteresting.

The first game was difficult to play because it lacked volume settings to be able to actually hear the dialogue over the music. Luckily there is volume settings now, so that issue was gone in this 2nd game in the series. Past that the only other improvements I came across were that there were instances where your character would actually run and a decent speed instead of just moving super slow the entire time, but the map is a lot bigger and harder to navigate, so it doesn’t quite make up for that. Pathing was slightly better, but it still ran into a lot of situations where you could just stuck. Like when climbing your character would just climb up a few steps, then down a few, over and over and over and over and over again. Occasionally indefinitely. Other frustrating things that probably should have been caught in QA are the few spots where sound cuts out. The fact the Apple Pencil can’t be used in many of the mini games, though that’s a bit in line with the first game since the Apple Pencil failed to work in the map in that one. It did work for the radio in the first game though, and it completely refuses to work for that in this version. Oh, and for some reason they removed the hold to walk function. So now with a larger map, strange positioning of the camera, and limitations on how far ahead you can place the movement reticle, the bulk of the game is just constant tapping so you can keep the character moving at a reasonable pace. Overall, it was an okay game. It was just held back by all of these weird design choices that some playtesting a quality QA time could have helped iron out to make the game more enjoyable and less monotonous.

While I throughly enjoyed the first game, the second is what is expected: beautiful graphics and choose your own ending… but the end credits are not clear at all. You don’t learn anything about yourself in what kind of character you choose. It feels like the creators were really collecting data on you. 

I would have loved if there was better psychology analysis for the player to understand after the game.

I’m a long term fan of OXENFREE, I’m just really sad that often when I get through a significant portion of the game, when I come back it is not saved. I have just been restarted to the beginning which can be so frustrating especially when there are already time loops happening in the game (which are a great part of the plot). It can just be frustrating, I love the game just want it to save.

Absolutely loved the first one, loved this one but I can’t seem to finish the game due to it not being auto saved. Two stars cuz idk how it ends. 
Lost hours of progress twice. 
First time it was late so I went to bed, woke up the next morning and it started over, thought maybe I did something wrong so I just started over.
2nd time I’m like 2/3 hours in and the app just crashed. Reopened the app and there’s no game file at all. Everything’s just gone. 😭

The game itself is nicely done, and, under other circumstances, I'd probably give it 5 stars, but it doesn't auto-save while you are progressing it - hence 1 star. The game is not playable the way it is right now, cannot recommend it to anyone. I was playing it the whole Sunday, needed to take a short brake at the finale, where they discuss who will go through the portal, locked my phone for no more than 2 minutes, iOS killed the game, I reopened the game: no saves at all, my save slot I selected at the beginning of the game is empty. Horrible. Avoid playing this game if you don't want to lose your progress when taking a short break.
