Cannot log dives in imperial units which is a PITA for US divers.  Location entry requires a search and select instead of free text.  Which means you can’t enter a dive unless the app actually already has it.  How stupid is that!

The app is just OK, at best. Data entry is somewhat tedious. Entering a number, such as a temperature or tank pressure, in full digits, gets modified slightly. For example, enter 80 degrees for a temperature and the app changes it to 79.99. Why?  There are other quirks. For example, when entering visibility you can only put down one number. But if, for example, it  changes significantly depending on where or when you are in a dive, you can’t enter something like 20-40. 

The amount of data, and the types of data, are limited too. Othe log books, paper or app- or web-based, let you enter things like critters you saw, but with this app you have to add that and other info into a single dialog/category.

Another annoyance is that the data I enter (date, time, location, depths, and much more) has to be copied from data I already have on my devices, downloaded directly fro my dive computer, and the app for that shows far more pertinent information than I can put (I should say RETYPE) into the PADI app.

What really irks me is that PADI seems not to provide any way to enter, edit, and keep your log if you want to do that on a Mac or PC, and have the log sync between devices (e.g., the computer, on the web, and on a phone or tablet). Even if that feature were only available to PADI club members (which I pay for) or simply charged a nominal fee for folks who aren’t PADI club members, it would be OK in my opinion. PADI seems to have no problem putting for-pay courses/e-learning on line, sending out ads, and the like, so why can’t they muster the IT support to put a log book on line?

I just don’t find the app to be user-friendly, and don’t really enjoy using it. The only reason I use it is because some dive shops only want to see the PADI log, even though I have another, far better, phone/tablet app.

This app is useless unless you're willing to pay extra money to see your certification number (which you already paid for through training). Dive log won't save and is worthless. You can't see your past trainings. Pretty disappointed in PADI for this. All this should be working and at no extra cost. Now they are advertising a premium package at $50 annually. Yeah right lol

I started reading the responses to the negative reviews and realized it was a canned response.  That should be a clue to the level of customer service to expect.
Some of the buttons don’t work- Contact Support being one.

App functions very well and has lots of useful features. Would be even more helpful if the cards and the dives can be logged even when offline (dives logged can be uploaded after). It should also allow dives logged to be downloaded in multiple formats like Excel, Word, etc.

This is the third time I have tried to get an ecard. I always end up quitting and deleting the app every time. Padi says I have no certifications even though I am certified through divemaster. The contact button does not work on the app and a drop down menu on their website doesn’t work. I guess they pretty much have a monopoly so we have little choice. Maybe the organization is great at other things but my experience with the app and website for my needs is a nightmare.

Those are few of the suggestions I have to enhance the app:
- The sorting of the log does not remain as chosen, for example when I select newest to oldest when I open the app again it will be sorted differently.
- I would like to see the time and depth near the location when I go to the log tab. 
- Your not providing other water bodies options. 
- Need to add instructor name not just buddy and dive center. 
- It would be nice if there are hashtags or list of marine life encountered during the dive.

- When trying to log training, it doesn’t provide many options, for example I could not find side mount speciality.

### ***** "Great Way to Organize PADI Certs"
PADI came up with a great way to keep all of your cert cards with you at all times, when they initiated the eCard, along with allowing you to have an electronic dive record.  I like a physical record also, but having an electronic one allows me to look through it when I don't have my physical one handy.  It also gives checklists and a quick review on hand signals and knots, for quick reference right before you dive.  Only thing that they could add is allow you to take the course within the app and perhaps an dive planner.

### **--- "Can’t do much in the app"
Many of the images would leave you believe they are clickable to do something like purchase an upgraded card, join the club, or ‘book a vacation’ however they aren’t and those capabilities don’t seem to actually exist. Haven’t tried logging a dive yet and the map seems accurate so there’s some value in it, just hope it’ll work to show my cards when I need to

There are significant differences between SSI and PADI.  I have done both, and found SSI to be overly concerned with theory and classroom, while PADI is more pragmatic and boils down all the science into simple principles and guidance about how to use technology, and what it means to your safety…. I’m not sure I need to know my lungs would have a 2x expansion on ascent from 30 ft if i held my breath… just let me know it could kill me, and give me instructions about what to do, and how to first avoid emergencies (manage air), then second how to live through them (out of air).
I also don’t need to know how to manually manage dive tables, but rather how to use a dive computer and gages.  
Don’t teach me to design a Swiss watch, when i ask for the current time.

Ok I had just installed this app because my dive master said it was necessary in completing the Open Water Dive course and getting my certificate. I had done all the things I needed to do to sign myself up until it showed me that I needed to input a verification code. I then attempted to send it to my e-mail and then have it put in but that’s when it all went south, either it took too long and didn’t go through or the second I decide to re-send it it still doesn’t work. No matter how many times I tried to re-send it and tried to refresh the app, it still wouldn’t give me the verification code I needed to complete my account.
