Description

Need to use ChatGPT but don't have an internet connection?
Want to ask a sensitive question while keeping your private data..private?
Do you want to use the power of LLMs to help in your personal life without worrying about the data being shared and collected about you?
If you've answered yes to any of the above, this app is the app for you. Panda is your your personal, private AI assistant.
Panda runs AI chat models completely on your device, so you can be confident that your private data stays private. This also has the added benefit of allowing the app to work completely offline. In fact an internet connection is only required to download the models that you want to use; although if you're not comfortable with this, you can download them from elsewhere and import them into the app.
The app supports the following features:
- Chat with a variety of open source LLMs including Deepseek, Kimi, Qwen, Llama, Gemma, Apple's Foundation Model, and OpenAI's GPT-OSS
- Image analysis; import an image and ask questions about it, or extract text from pictures. This can be useful for transcribing your journal for example
- Inline Image generation (currently only supported on macOS). Generate images using natural language right in the flow of a regular conversation
- Rate model responses to use later in fine-tuning
- Export chats in JSON format
- Search for and download models from within the app
- Save useful prompts for use later
- Browse prompts created by the community
The app functions without an internet connection, but iCloud syncing (for saved prompts), searching for & downloading models, and browsiung the community prompt library require access to the internet. We don't collect any analytics or any data about your usage of the app. Your chats are completely private and remain on the device and are not synced with iCloud.

Trying to run it on my iPad M2 pro, no reply from it whatsoever…

I’ve had an issue where I had to redownload the app due to a glitch where it wouldn’t let me open the app at all; it’d just kick me out even when I restarted my device.

Good start needs work!

1. You need to install their recommend LLM to change to any other LLM. 2. Downloads break randomly- will tell you your device is out of space when it’s not- also doesn’t support background downloads. 3. The model outputs should stream, they currently appear all at once. 4. There should be options for context size, so Mistral Nemo 12b can possibly run on 8gb ram device. LM Studio is a great example. The UI looks nice it’s a good start. Thanks for building!
