Paper: Sketch, Draw & Create

I just found this app and I’m really loving the ability to have multiple journals and flippable pages - which is what I wanted most in a sketching/journalling app. If you’re planning on getting Pro, make sure to do it through the App Store instead of inside the app - the price is mind bogglingly different! My biggest complaint is that it needs more textured brushes, and angled ones as well that that mimic things like calligraphy pens or chiselled markers which make it feel much more natural and sketch-worthy vs MS paint. If this app wants to be a true sketching book app it needs more brushes!

This app is really nice and I love it but I just have a tuff time with the colours sometimes wish it could be easier

This used to be hands down my favourite app for doodling and note taking. I have been using this app for over 10 years and now it’s starting to lose its charm. There are number of issues since the acquisition by wetransfer and then Evernote now. It has forced me to write this review. 1. Why is there extra UI elements to upsell me Evernote! Please keep the UI simple again without extra buttons or the ability to toggle those options off. Upselling with pop ups are acceptable but not when one is working 2. When zooming in and out of the canvas and using images Paper hangs and then you need to quit and your work is lost. 3. Sometimes all my journals get unsynced and I get a mild heart attack as all my life’s notes are on this APP. 4. There have been no significant updates. At least provide support for the pencil pro and upgrade some UI elements to do so for quick access to tools. I am happy to provide free UIs to you to make this happen. 5. You can no longer buy points in the paper store. This is a revenue loss to your company. Paperby53 was where it was at and now it’s losing its charm. There were such cool collaborations and innovations before like: The 53 Pencil, collaborations with moleskine to print your journals, Remix which was such a fun community activity. They way journals were organized before in list format. Both views should be available List and Journal view. Please bring on some new product designers, I am happy to help as I love this app. I would give it 5 stars but it’s just going downhill and give it a poor rating to get the attention of the developers. Please bring some life back into this and not die under some large corporation through acquisition after acquisition. This app was designed to be simple easy and fun to use. Only reason im still using it and subscribing is that you can use cut using your finger, which is the fastest way to edit your art vs lasso tools in other apps. I think the day the other apps allow to use finger for cut, paste, duplicate using your finger is the day I will stop using Paper. Paper I love you but it’s time you reciprocate the love.

As a many years loyal customer, I can say that what you made is just disgusting. I need Evernote subscription to Airdrop my drawings now?! WTH?!

If you someone like me, who’s used to more conventional drawing programs like procreate, clip studio, and ibis, it’s a bit hard to draw on the entire canvas as zooming out further than your canvas isn’t a feature - would love to see this in future potential updates and would make the canvas editing so much easier! Being able to edit page templates (bg colour and grid sizes) would also be a plus. Love the digital journal feel - definitely a great place to store digital artworks in one place or do some digital scrapbooking. It’s nice to be able to see my digital works as if in a real printed book! Besides the lack of a zooming out feature and limited brush options, I would recommend this app for some simple doodling and artwork storage.

App has been broken for the last 2 weeks. Automatically shuts down upon trying to open.

It is good just wanted it to have paper pro for free

The app kept crashing so i tried everything (resetting ipad, adding more storage etc) and I tried deleting the app so i could reinstall, little did I know it, your stuff isn’t tied to your account you have to save the files (silly me) so i contacted support but they just had a bot that did not help at all, and now i lost all of my work.
