Welcome to a new app experience, we have optimized our app and giving it a facelift! This faster iOS native app now has the following new features:

Your News:
Provide personalized recommendations for content based on user preferences. Users will be allowed to customize the content they want to engage with by selecting the topics they are truly interested in. By going to the “Your News” tab the user can bypass the noise of all that is published and home in on the content they want

Saved Articles:
Save feature that allows users to save articles or other content they are interested in for later reading or reference.Push notifications will remind users to read their saved articles or suggest related content

Custom Push Notifications:
The user can select what topics they want to be notified about which makes for a much less intrusive experience.

Top Navigation Bar:
A top navigation bar lets the user switch between sections by swiping or tapping.

Enews in-app:
Desire the newspaper experience? No need to open a separate app! By simply going to Settings and selecting E-News the user can browse the Digital Replica of the day’s paper.

Offline Reading:
This feature allows users to enable offline reading from Settings. Offline “Reading Preferences” can also be customized for Settings.

Swipe Left:
Instead of going back to the main section to find more articles, users have the option to simply swipe, immediately opening other articles in the Section.

Follow Topics:
A user will be shown articles on topics they are following. To follow select “follow” at the article level and related articles will gain relevancy and be shown more frequently. Just as easily “Unfollow”

## Pasadena Star-News Reviews in United States

### ***** "I love to read"
I love to read
-- Doughboyy818, 2023-10-23

### *---- "How to find previous days sections?"
There should be a button on the homepage that takes you to the p previous editions.
-- zx79fhkdebmxaseplgtzutra, 2022-12-26

### *---- "Now charging $175.00 a year. Rip off"
Pasadena Star News was free with the app for years, and overnight it went to $175.00 a year, and that’s a rip off.
-- Camper648, 2021-02-08

### **--- "Not"
Pasadena Star News needs to stop hiding what really goes on in Pasadena! A female was shot last night 1/17/20 other news lets use know what happened in Pasadena not Star news stick to other news apps Pasadena Star newspapers doesn’t let us no really goes on in our city
-- 2BANKUM, 2020-01-17

### *---- "Slow"
Just incredibly slow to load I know it’s not my phone or server. I’d like to enlarge pics if I could and there are FAR too many hot links
-- Kneepit, 2019-11-22

### *---- "Tiny type size — almost unreadable"
The type is laughably small. You’ll need your reading glasses, or maybe a magnifying glass, just to read the headlines.

Hard to comment on the content, because I can’t read the news stories. I wanted to support my local paper, but how can any decent newspaper have such carelessness about it’s readers?
-- LaFaute, 2018-10-12

### *---- "Ads make the app virtually unusable"
I like to keep up with local news however it really can’t be done using this app. It is impossible to read any of the articles. Ads pop up every few seconds filling the entire screen. Closing one only makes another one pop up. It’s like playing whack-a-mole.
-- SGPCS, 2018-10-09

### *---- "Has Issues with IOS 11.4.1"
Upon opening the app the screen turns white and the app closes into the background. If I swipe, then I find that the app has in fact opened in the background and I can bring it to the front. However, if I attempt to select anything on the app to change pages, then the app once again turns completely white and collapses to the background. And, again I will find that whatever page I chose has opened in the background and I can move that page into the foreground. This is not a very convenient way to navigate the app.
-- iartprintr, 2018-08-30

### *---- "Pasadena Star-Ads"
Seriously? Two ads on each page, taking up a third of the screen. OK, you gotta get paid so I'll deal with it.

Then a full-page ad pop-up.

Thus ended my 30 seconds with the PSN app.
-- otterman, 2015-10-13

### *---- "Disappointing"
Much too much advertising and much too little news. Going to delete it.
-- LaverneJoe, 2015-04-13
