"Past Mistakes” Commissioner Collins, a veteran agent of the law that rules over the new Total Order the world is in, will find, by accident, a time capsule buried back in the XXI century. In this capsule, he will find the origin and solution to the totalitarian state under which the oppressed XXV century lives: several plans on how to build a time machine, and a card with the story and location of the tyrant who would start World War Three, allowing all his descendants to continue the Great Dictatorship, the Total Order under which Collins lives.

Commissioner Collins, a veteran agent of the law, fifty years old, from Novopolis, in Great America. He does not agree with the system he lives in, but he has no other choice than to abide by the law, Lex Code, imposed upon the world’s population. The Supreme Leader oppresses World War 3’s survivor states. Upon finding the time capsule, which will reveal how to avoid the planet’s current situation, he chooses to help correct the past and erase the present.

This is a clever idea and the first story was written well enough to keep my attention and didn’t suffer from the malaise that the original CYOA books of the 80’s were plagued with.

It is a little short, I’d like more choices. The graphics are very nice. I shut off the music, it was not necessary to my enjoyment of the game. I’ve only gone through it once, so interested how different choices may affect the story.

I like the game but it played fine until I made the choice for Collins to open the container and then the screen turned black and went blank so I shut it down and rebooted my iPad thinking that would fix the problem but instead now it just sits on the main page with no sound and doesn’t do anything and won’t go back to the story or anything else! It just stays where it’s at if I can’t play the game what’s the point in keeping it?
