## PatchBay Description
PatchBay routes audio/midi throughout your mac&#039;s hardware devices, audio units, apps (optional, read below) and the included multi-track audio recorder, empowering you to

• Reroute audio and midi from any input to any output device
• Quickly arrange your entire audio setup for a specific session, such as an online music performance
• Optional: Record directly from apps, e.g. from Safari, or make prank FaceTime calls with your own favorite voice changer effect audio unit
• And much more!

Ideal for musicians, audio engineers, or if you just need to record that piece of (copyright-free) audio from Youtube, Vimeo, Vevo etc, without resorting to malicious/spam download sites (this feature is optional, read below).

INTERFACE
• Easy and intuitive: create an empty patch, freely add elements and connect them by wires
• Full control over audio/midi channels via mixing, splitting, reassignment
• Audio volume control and VU metering
• Switch between multiple patches with different routing

PATCHABLE ELEMENTS
• Audio devices: inputs and outputs
• Midi devices: sources and destinations, hardware &amp; virtual CoreMidi
• Audio Unit support (V3): Instruments, Effects and Midi-Controlled Effects (your own, not included)
• Built-in multi-track audio recorder

• Adjustable audio sample rate 44.1-96 kHz and latency 1-8 msec
• Up to 64 audio channels and 16 midi channels
• Multi-track recorder, up to 16 audio channels , 32-bit native lossless
• Export single multitrack or multiple mono/stereo files in WAV or M4a @ 64/256 kbit/sec

APP MIDI
 • PatchBay creates a midi bus for every app in a patch, e.g. &quot;PatchBay to Logic Pro&quot;, &quot;PatchBay to Voice Synth&quot; 
 • Ideal for DAW apps to receive midi from more complex/mixed sources managed in PatchBay
 • Ideal for audio apps that can connect to external midi sources but do not offer their own midi input

OPTIONAL FEATURE: APP AUDIO
 • Sending/receiving audio from apps is optional and requires installation of PatchBay&#039;s software audio device
 • Installer and deinstaller packages can be downloaded for free at the developer&#039;s online PatchBay manual
 • System restrictions apply (see manual)
