## Patient Access Description
Patient Access connects you to healthcare services when you need them most. Book GP appointments, order repeat prescriptions and explore your local pharmacy services. 

NEW: You can now create a Patient Access account without linking to your UK GP practice and enjoy the following features: 

• If you’re feeling under the weather, search for symptoms and find patient information articles  
• Self-refer to NHS services such as talking therapies, sexual health, antenatal care and drug and alcohol addiction services 
• Choose from over 30 services provided by your local community pharmacy and book in the app 
• Access and read medical advice and healthy living tips from the experts 
• Sign in quickly, easily and securely with Touch or Face ID 
• Swiftly check if you can link to your GP 

If you are able to link your Patient Access account to your GP practice, you can also get access to the following features where they are made available by your practice: 

• Book face-to-face or remote online appointments with your GP, nurse or clinician at a time that suits you 
• Request repeat prescriptions online, with convenient delivery to your preferred pharmacy 
• View your medical record, including test results, immunisations and allergies 
• Securely share your medical record with healthcare professionals of your choosing, without the need to contact your practice 
• Look after your loved ones and act on their behalf to book appointments and repeat prescriptions 
• Message your GP directly from within Patient Access at home or on the move 
• Where your practice has enabled it, book a remote video consultation with your GP, nurse or clinician 
 
You must be a registered patient at a participating practice to use the GP-linked features in Patient Access.

### **--- "Loggin in problems"
Please review all the different levels of security on the app, there are too many and some do not work or are difficult to use.
The matching pictures to a description is extremely difficult to use, this may have been designed on a large screen PC, on a tablet or phone the pictures are really difficult to see, they are not very clear in the first place. They use US description which can confuse, many other apps who used this have now thankfully stopped using it.
I keep being invited to use touch ID, but it does not work, the app does not remember that I have agreed to touch ID.
There is now three levels of security is fingerprint ID to be a forth level, no you also invite us to install a third party app to help prove our identity, please before you release any changes or updates, test them please.
The app is far better when you get into it than the NHS app but it does need some work on the front end.

Far too complex need to download authenticators follow loads of instructions this after being sent confirmation emails and codes to enter.
Appears to have been designed by a techy with no consideration for the customer experience.
After 2 attempts spending over an hour have given up and submitted a complaint.
You can make it secure and easy, simplicity is genius !

This app is very poorly designed you can’t even change your telephone number and there is no way of contacting them only by email 
Well the telephone number should be the same number as what is in our NHS app even though the doctors keep saying that they have changed it 
It should be done by email for 2 step verification anyway

Login failure iOS app & Safari

App uses Safari but plus 18.0.1 login fails as Safari does not receive correct response from server. Solution is to access the website directly via a different browser, eg Chrome. The app is fixed to Safari. Means having to install a second browser.

Awful. App, full of clutter. 
Needs to be more condensed especially when it comes to Medications & Test results (NHS app so much better for this). 
Find it aesthetically unpleasing. 
Showing upcoming appointments and appointment booking are however not bad.  
Sadly for some things i.e viewing certain documents i have to use this app otherwise i wouldn’t and just use NHS app.

“I joined a new surgery and was emailed about this app. However, for some reason, it worked initially but then stopped working. A quick visit to my new GP helped, and they emailed me the information I needed to regain access. The only issue I don’t like is that it tells me my password is not secure when it is. Other than that, it works.

I’ve just logged into this app as I do on a very regular basis due to complex medical issues. Always been able to review my test results but this option has now disappeared and is no where on the app. Instead it just keeps asking to link my Go surgery which I had already done. 

Not happy at all with this.

Yet again I am missing appointments booked by my doctor for me, and displayed in Patient Care.   But there are no notifications to me in the app that a new appt has been booked, and I am missing these.    Please for the second time can you introduce notifications of new appts being made ?

I have an iPhone mini, if I try to sign in for too long my session expires. If I do successfully sign in I’m stuck in the welcome page. I tried resetting my password but had no success signing in. The Authenticator code also doesn’t last long enough Please help I’m having to call up my doctor every time

Love it, as I am disabled it gives me more freedom for my medical needs... on the other hand I have so many complications within my medical records I can’t see anything. There’s nothing there and that was the 20th of November 2024. please fix it with a bug upgrade.

I booked flu jab and paid online 25£. Fun part started when l attended appointment and discovered 2024/25 charge for flu jab is 20£. Contacted customer service and asked why I paid 5£ and they say - providers charges. 25% ? Seriously????? 

Don’t bother downloading this app, easier to book appointment via phone or attending facility otherwise where you wont pay additional charges.
