This app is a nightmare. It keeps crashing or takes ages to load. I’m paying for a subscription and because of this app I can hardly enjoy it..

I just recently got the app on my phone. Are you also able to make it available to be able to cast the videos to chrome cast for example? That would be great as my chrome cast doesn’t have the app itself.

It uses massive amounts of battery to basically display text on the screen. Then there are the bugs. Animations glitching, it constantly going back from the page you are reading to the index and so on. Really disappointing that such a (relatively) simple app is so disastrous.

Waiting for an update, it keeps crashing once I start playing a video. Have the use the site version now. iOS is up to date.

Patreon has gone from a ‘okay-platform’ to a horrible (!) platform. The first thing I would like to say is that I always read the Helpcentre first, before bothering a customerservice. Unfortunately I couldn’t figure out what was the cause of the problem. Then I contacted customersupport, but that made my confusion and frustration only bigger. Patreon has a desktop- and appversion. At first I used the app, but it wasn’t possible to upload images as a member in a member-community. I was annoyed, but could ‘live with it’, because I could do it on the desktopversion. When I read the newsletter from Patreon about launching the app with new layout and functions I’ve got exited. Could I now upload images on the app? No 😒 In fact, it only got worse. Now the whole community-tab is gone. Instead, there is a new tab called Community-chats: one big chatroom. It is very chaotic and I have scroll back endlessly. The creator has the possibility to create up to four chats for members. I am assuming that creators can divide chats into the kind of membership one member has. I can only assume this, because customersupport wasn’t really clear about this. They also stated that by the first of December the community-tab also isn’t available on the desktop-version too. In fact, when I contacted the ‘support-team’ I got an automatic reply about ‘please send some screenshots of your problem’ while I can’t make a screenshot about the issues I’ve had. When I send my reply on that I got an email with some more automatic lines. These lines where obviously meant for Creators and not for members of creators, while I made perfectly clear that I was a member of one of the creators. Maybe others aren’t bothered with this kind of communication and I am old-fashioned, but I think it is rude and disrespectful to treat customers like that. Aren’t the creators and their members providing their income at the end? But there is also good news! There is a very good ALTERNATIVE of Patreon. It is called: Huddle. I highly recommended others (creators and their members) to look into that. So, long story short: - The app is gone from okay to horrible - The customersupport is a joke. - Look for Huddle.

Update- Oct 23rd. Recordings now play without much issue/skipping/ crashing. Direct messages are still being very odd. Notifications are also staying on when there is nothing or not informing you of an update but you get an email. 🤷‍♀️ Update- now I also can’t open direct messages, I have an email to say I have a message but that section of the app does not open! The last update and logo change has ruined the app, it no longer plays audio on my phone, shows it’s running but nothing is playing, or it will play 2 seconds and jump forward or back for no reason. Also the change to the way all the uploads are listed you have no idea which ones you have listened to as it no longer shows you or if you have liked or commented on it. VERY poor considering you have to pay for all media on this app.

I am having trouble adjusting the font size in the app, making it challenging to read.
