The app always glitches when you try skip backwards and just completely breaks so you have to listen to episodes from the beginning. Really annoying and i thought they’d have fixed it by now

Patreon is a great platform for creators to share meaningful exclusive content in a monetisable way. It’s quite simple in its features… but it does the job and continues to evolve.

I want to be able to manage my subscriptions, yet this app cannot even do that. It has silly abstract icons at the top of the screen instead of more standard recognisable menu icons. It’s chock full of social media type rubbish… hard to get to useful information. Just a terrible UI design overall… you’re better off just launching the web page in Safari.

Quickly drained my battery from 95% to 12% while I was listening to a podcast. Phone was also really hot. Deleted.

There are too many rough edges in this app which make it a trial rather than a pleasure to use. The number of times I’ve had to restart it because of the spinning disc of doom when it’s supposed to be fetching more data. The number of times I’ve lost my place in whatever I’m reading because it’s interpreted a drag on the screen as a left/right action and closed the post rather than scrolling down which is what I wanted. The fight to get it to refresh the data it’s cached leading to another restart. It’s a classic example of where the web site remains better than the app.
