HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT GROOMER

Selecting the right groomer for your dog is just as important as deciding who cuts and styles your hair. Finding someone who cares for your dog’s maintenance and wellbeing, as well as someone who provides the particular services your pet requires, is paramount. Ask around the community, ask your friends and family which groomer they depend on to deliver quality care.

Once you find the perfect groomer for your pet on our app, contact them to ask the questions you have. You will be met with an enthusiastic person happy to help! Some examples of questions to ask your potential groomer include:

What special services do you provide in addition to standard services? Ask specifically about what you would like your pet to have included in their grooming session.

Do you have experience with the specific breed of my dog? If your dog has a temperament that is not typical for the breed due to a medical condition, make sure the groomer can accommodate this readily and easily.

What training do you have that qualifies you to perform the additional services? The amount of training a groomer has received can vary depending on where they learned and how they learned if they attended a school or went through an apprenticeship. Asking this lets you choose the level of qualification you are comfortable with.

Are you trained in first aid if my dog needs it during a session? Do you carry your first aid supplies with you, or is this something you request a client to have on hand?

Are you insured to cover accidental injury to my pet? An accident is something neither you nor the groomer would want to happen, but in the event of an accident, you need to make sure the financial aspect that comes with medical services to your pet will be covered.

PRICING

You do not want any surprises when you see the bill. Asking upfront about pricing for the things your pet will require in a session is an essential aspect of your groomer selection decision.

If all questions have been answered to your satisfaction, and you feel confident the groomer is someone you will quickly develop a good rapport with, book an appointment!

## Pawsh Reviews in United States

### *---- "How to earn 1 star"
1. Start spamming me for services in a city I don’t live in. 2. Don’t include an unsubscribe link in your spam. 3. Ignore emails requesting that you stop spamming me.
-- Skurczysyn, 2026-02-18

### *---- "Horrible"
The worst app
-- egopic, 2026-01-10

### *---- "Standard Poodle not a breed"
Trying to add my Standard Poodles, but I cannot because this app does not recognize them. One of the most popular breeds and this app does not think they exist.

Waste of my time.
-- vonBaron23, 2025-04-07

### **--- "Worthless!"
Don’t waste your time.
-- Ctmeg4, 2023-12-23

### *---- "Poor communication"
Great concept poor communication. Tried coming tasting the admin via chat never received a response. Tried to book a grooming with two different groomers and both requests just disappeared after a few hours with no explanation. Poor app.

### **--- "A review for groomers"
I would avoid this. My experience was that they kept saying they were promoting really heavily in my area, but I was barely getting interested clients. Eventually I didn’t need this service anymore, but couldn’t log in or retrieve my login info at all. The guy who runs it is overly personal and will text you, try to make appointments with you, etc and it’s unsettling. He even texted me because I got a random request after ages and I didn’t reply because I cannot get in to my account. Like please work that in to the system and don’t bother me. He tried getting me back in to my account and couldn’t, then said he’d contact me soon and never did. It’s all very messy and very hands on in a way I am not comfortable with. Reading other reviews, it looks like he doesn’t handle negative comments well either so I’m super excited to hear back on this one.

### *---- "Scam be aware!"
First time in my life getting scammed. The app doesn’t work, there’s no way for you to communicate with the groomer directly. My original appointment was rescheduled out of no where. On the day of the appointment I get scammed by the groomer. The support team gave me her direct phone number, she lied, took my money and never showed up. On top of all that she was yelling at me for thinking she’s a scammer lol.

The support team told me that they removed her from the app, but she’s still there and visible. Total joke.

Don’t we recommend! My first and last time using this.

### ***** "Amazing groomers"
Love the app and the groomers that groomed my dog.
-- V2337hkkjane, 2023-04-05

### ***** "Love this app"
I found the most amazing at home groomer on this app!! It was super easy to find someone and schedule the appointment! My one year old Morkie is terrified of going to the groomer so finding a groomer that comes to the house is perfect!! She was so sweet with my dog, brought all her own equipment, and gave my pup an amazing haircut! I will definitely be using this app from now on!

### ***** "Best service"
Bianca from Pawsh is the best .
