The PayStay App provides a simple method to pay for your parking via your smart phone.  Where data is available PayStay has the added benefit of being able to show parking locations with real-time availability.
 
After registration you can use the PayStay mobile app like an advanced parking meter in your hand.
 
It couldn't be easier. Say goodbye to coins, paying more than you have to and the stress of rushing around to top up your meter.
 
All fees are deducted from the credit card that is linked to your PayStay Account.

This app works until anything doesn’t go as planned, then it crumbles.

Firstly, the app has you log in with a phone number, but you can only update your settings if you log in with an email. This creates confusion because suddenly you are asked for details different from what you’re used to. Also, why does this app need so much of my info, you’re just a parking app; who do you think you are‽

Don’t bother trying to use the forgotten password feature, I’ve been trying to get it to work for years, and I’ll still just parking illegally.

Even the fact I need to reauthenticate to add a vehicle is crazy. How many person are fraudulently adding other people’s cars so they can gift them free parking. In fact, LET PEOPLE DO THIS FOR ME!!!

It just seems like common sense has never been in the room where it happens

The muppets are at it again. 
They have now updated the app again so I had to login again (used my vault password) and it didn’t work - no surprises. I reset my password and it was asking for my mobile as my user ID but when I reset the password I had to work out that it really wanted my email address. Now at the 2FA screen, I have a white screen of death doing  nothing. 
Useless and frustrating app that is a con.

First of all it’s impossible to setup the app without giving them your credit card details and even worst is not possible to delete them.  The prompt you for notifications which cost at least .50cents for what? It’s a basic function. Sometimes it show up on car play , sometime it doesn’t.  Sometimes you can’t even log in a if you are in a hurry this just ruins your day.  This app is forced on everyone trying to park, what if you don’t have a phone? Of if you just simply don’t want an other app that is tracking your purchases installed so you can park?  How is this even legal?

Went to use the app and discovered I’m locked out. No way to reset the lock without calling. No way to create a new account because I’ve got the same damn email and phone number I’ve always had.

After 20minutes of hearing “all our operators are on other calls” every 30 seconds I gave up and left my number for a callback. Still waiting 8 hours later… 

Easy and convenient for whom?

The app is not working reliably. When I finally get in I can’t add a licence plate without logging in. I don’t know my username or password but have no way or retrieving or changing either. If I try to create a new account it won’t let me due to an account already being associated with my mobile number. I call the 1300 number and am hold for an age turn am asked to leave a message. A circular nightmare I do not have time for so now I risk a parking fine.

SMS reminders attract a fee and need to be manually turned off for each new parking session. There are other ways to provide this information to the user but presumably these were overlooked because they can’t be charged as an additional service.

Very average performance. Half the time I always get the screen that shows there is an error. Please call the 1300 error number which is a complete waste of my time. Eventually it does work but only after having to load the app on and off about five times.

Need to hire better QA and actually test the app. I can’t even pay for it because my card expire and it doesn’t give you option to update payment details. 
And the app super laggy can’t even login if I’m logged out. Really reach if you guys need proper QA and testing team.

Just some general feedback: it would be great if you could display current parking restrictions in the app or alert the user if the parking restrictions change and the user is still parked in the same spot. 

For instance if I Park in a place where the street changes to a clearway there is no indication in your ui that this will happen. It just appears the parking ends however it's actually turned into a place that is illegal to park.
