I’ve been using the app for many years without logging in. It’s great and files are backed up in icloud. But now I logged in to sync files to cloud, ending up losing many important files. Restoring seems to be impossible. Only way to restore was to restore whole iphone content from icloud… I stopped using camscanner and will use native files app to scan documents from now on.
Honestly do I have to be hit with an add everytime I I go back??? What a horrible user experience. If you want to put ads make them in a place we’re users might look. Also the UI of this app either changed or got worste. Hire a UX designer

Good for scanning
Poor quality.
The free version was good before. Now they have blooted it with so much adverts and ways to not see how to close these adverts, that you will get annoyed using the app. I wanted to take two scans and thought this will be okay, but I will have to use another app. I can't recommend this app if you plan to use the free version for only a few scans. This app is for customers who use it many times, then you pay their subscription fee and get a good app.
A fine app despite of many ads. What would really make it shine is more automation: it should let you choose from few presets of your own. It is really frustrating to have to search for Evernote each time. I only use three Evernote folders, and if I could choose them easily and save as pdf without choosing it every time again, I would not search for something better. My thumb rule for phone apps: each unnecessary click drops half of users off.
