DOES NOT WORK
doesn’t work on ipad, unable to select a file
Further to the below, I now find that when I open the app on my iPad running iPadOS 16.2 (ie the latest one), it will not let me select PDFs at all, making is completely useless! FWIW, I would have given it even fewer stars now but, thankfully, it is still working on my iPhone, running iOS 16.2 - fiddly but not a total bust… (Oh, and this issue arose at iPadOS 16.1 but has not been solved with the update). Please make it work with iPadOS 16.2 (and, per the below, please do allow landscape use, too). OLD REVIEW: I am using a 2020 iPad Air for all my work at the moment and am finding PDF Compressor an extremely useful app on a daily basis. In fact, it’s almost a 5 star app - I just need it to cope with being used in landscape as well as portrait (I am bored of tilting my neck over!) and, ideally, to offer more levels of compression, too. (Currently, it essentially limits you to a bit/some/loads of compression but sometimes an inbetween level would be handy. And if it were possible to tell it to compress to, say, just under 10MB, that would be even better). Update: I posted the above in March ‘21 and it’s now Feb ‘22 - I’m still using the app all the time but I’m also still waiting for it to work in landscape as well as portrait. If the developers are reading this, please can you add this ‘feature’ soon? It really is the main irritation about an otherwise very helpful app. Thanks!
An advert delivery system (with built in PDF compressor). I found this app frustrating because its not intuitive and everything takes ages. It does compresses the PDF ok, once you work out the user interface. The app gives each PDF a random name (like 5UcLo4j25L04pIIB) so if you process more than one you cant tell which is which. Every opportunity to display an advert is taken. Constantly changing banner adverts at the top, plus full screen video adverts. This has put me off getting more apps. Sorry but all I want to do is choose a PDF file then have the app save a compressed version of that file automatically. I feel like I'm working for the app when the app should be working for me.
This app is by far the best app to use to compress large PDF files that can be reduced in size to under 5 MBs or less. Outstanding!
This app does exactly what it says that it does, quickly, and for free. The ads are a little annoying, but they don’t last very long. I use this to compress textbooks so I can flip through the pages faster.
Zero doesn’t help😒
I tried to compress and wvery time it says that the connection has failed f u
It’s caught in a loop
This app doesn’t work. I download it and it doesn’t do anything. It won’t even open up a file anywhere, much less compress anything. What is the point of this app if it can’t even open up a file?
