I just annotated a pdf in Dropbox, but it was not copied by PDF Expert. All annotations were lost in seconds. Waste of my time. Prefer GoodReader: it will always ask whether or not you want to copy. Avoid!!

Great for Review & Feedback
I originally downloaded PDF Expert on the back of a comparative search. I have several writers in my friend circle, for whom I feedback on drafts, and I also review a lot of professional communication materials for work. This app is an outstanding solution for getting feedback down on the go: at lunch, at the breakfast table, at an airport, etc. It starts up quick, makes it easy to save and find your various documents, and combined with an Apple Pencil it is quick and intuitive to highlight or make notes as you read.
Rug pull
Bought full lifetime version, got rug pulled. Some functions that I bought got stripped and put behind paywall.
You made my working life
After retiring I have been able to work as a freelance for 12 years thanks to the excellent editing facilities. I might still have a beta version, I think it was for free. Extremers satisfied!
Unreliable
Lost notes and annotations multiple times because something with the sync is broken.
Smooth scrolling
I’m using Adobe Acrobat Pro on a really fast gaming laptop that can easily play the latest games on max settings. Still, when I work with big PDF files, Acrobat lags and stutters a lot when I scroll around. With this app, I can smoothly scroll through the same PDF files on my iPad and iPhone SE without any lag, except very slight stuttering when scrolling very fast. I don’t know about the other features, but at least this app is way, way better than Acrobat for reading, scrolling and adding comments to PDF files.
Upgraded to premium on my Mac, not working on my ipad or iphone
Took the chance to pay, using the app frequent actually and I really like it. However when you pay for premium you expect it to work in the phone and ipad as well. It doesn’t, spent an hour now deleting reinstalling, signing in! I think the greed is killing you guys!
What happened?
PDF expert was my favourite PDF app but it has now fallen behind competitors… The app is slow and clunky compared to other pdf viewers. Large PDFs feel jittery and the the UI is confusing at times. Does PDF Expert even support ProMotion? As a long time customer I am pretty disappointed. I am sorry to say that I can’t recommend this app at the moment.

Tries to sucker you into subscription. I need a casual app (fair one time price) not subscriptions. Not recommended
