Die Funktion "Ortsbegehung / Datenaufnahme" bietet die Möglichkeit, Arbeitspakete zu Prüfobjekten, an das mobile Geräte zu übertragen und dort, Vor Ort, die Datenaufnahme durchzuführen. Hierbei können Fotos der verbauten Geräte sowie Daten von Typenschildern übernommen und an PEC übertragen werden. Die Benutzerführung und die Ergebniseingabe sind intuitiv und für den betrieblichen Alltag optimiert. Zu jedem Prüfplan und Prüfsatz können Fotos zur Dokumentation gemacht werden. Prüfungen können auf dem mobilen Geräte elektronisch unterschrieben werden. PEC Mobile ist eine Ergänzung zur web-basierten Serverlösung PEC von AGU um das Prüfen vor Ort papierlos durchzuführen.
