Explore the PeerTube federation: easily browse videos and creators on different PeerTube instances hosted around the world. Discover diverse content from a multitude of interconnected servers. No account required!

Search and discover videos: Use our search engine to find specific videos, channels or themes across the entire PeerTube network. Choose themes that interest you to find the content that's right for you.

Offline download: Download videos directly to your device and watch them without an internet connection, wherever and whenever you want.

Comment and interact: Comment, discuss and exchange around videos with the PeerTube community.

Why choose PeerTube?

PeerTube is more than just a video platform. It's a decentralised network that respects your privacy and offers you an ethical alternative to the platforms of surveillance capitalism. Unlike centralised services, PeerTube does not collect your personal data or track you for advertising purposes. With PeerTube, you have complete control over your video experience.

Download the PeerTube application now and join a community that supports a free, decentralised Internet that respects its users.

Who is behind PeerTube?

PeerTube is a project developed by Framasoft, a French non-profit organisation committed to popular education about the digital commons. Framasoft is known for its many initiatives aimed at raising public awareness of alternatives to large centralised platforms and encouraging digital practices that are more respectful of privacy and individual freedoms. This is done in particular through the De-google-ify Internet campaign, which proposes some fifteen services as alternatives to those of the net giants.

## PeerTube Reviews in United States

### ***** "Best iOS video app"
Only good video app on iOS. Has many good videos, and few bugs.
-- Not Hannah Montana, 2026-09-12

### *---- "Accessibility issues"
Not very VoiceOver accessible. Please add support for screenreaders.
-- BlindNotBroken84, 2026-08-14

### ***** "Could be the future"
They've added a lot of stuff users complained about recently like background playback
-- hardlysleep.ing, 2026-06-26

### *---- "Terrible"
Wish it were better but man it’s awful. Very little content. The app doesn’t correctly orient and gets stuck upside down.
-- Early heindlik, 2026-05-31

### ***-- "Great, with some flaws"
Works great if you want a dedicated app for browsing PeerTube, but I couldn't find a way to disable the touch controls for brightness and volume when in fullscreen, so I end up accidentally changing the volume and brightness when adjusting my hand or wiping off dust. The video player also has some delay to it, and it feels kind of "heavy" to control because of it. There also doesn't seem to be a way to watch videos in picture-in-picture mode, but there's at least background audio.

Overall, needs some work, but is serviceable enough for its purpose.
-- FirstLastBunchaNumbers, 2026-05-05

### ***** "A"
Amazing
-- disbuna, 2025-12-29

### ****- "Very decent"
It’s refreshing to see alternative video platforms. Could use some features like PiP, BG playback or something I’ve never seen before like a widget with video previews.
-- JTJTW0, 2025-11-02

### ***-- "Bug?"
I want to be able to review but when I open the app, I cannot scroll or leave the landing page
-- Joyjoy741, 2025-09-01

### *---- "Will not work on small screen phones"
I have an iPhone SE 2021 and the Welcome To PeerTube screen comes up, but there is no visible way to navigate to the next screen. I have tried swiping up, down, left, and right to try to scroll to find a button to click. No scrolling. The app is useless to me and others in this state. I would really like to move to this platform along with my favorite content creators but…
-- SDUSA3.14159, 2025-08-28

### ****- "Love it, but some hiccups"
I love this app, but if you’re like me and aren’t used to federated apps such as this (I’m not even sure if I’m using the right terminology), there is a learning curve. There are work arounds, but you’re going to want to do some trial and error type stuff to fully understand it.
