Pepperplate Cooking Planner

Used this for 2-3 years to store my recipes and it was fine. Suddenly they want a monthly fee or my recipes are gone for good. I’m not into blackmailing so bye bye baby. Thank God for screenshots.

This app has the potential to be a great app but it keeps crashing. Fix that and we have a pretty damn good recipe managing system.

This is what I've been looking for a long time. All my recipes in one place that can be accessed via web browser or iPhone/iPad app. Recipes are very easy to add, Pepperplate even corrects wrong formatting (when recipe copy-pasted from a website). There are a lot of smart features in the service. I suggest!

What can I say, if you're thinking about an e-recipe library then check this out. Web/iPad/iPhone sync is handy and the app is nice & clean. Recipes don't need to be in English. Data is stored as plain text which you can easily copy from the web interface in case you want to move your recipes to some other system. Pro tip: You can just add the name & photo of a dish and fill in where (book, magazine etc.) you have the actual recipe. Still, put your stuff on PP and you can check what you need on your iPhone if you forgot your shopping list, and you can email recipes to friends (it builds a nicely formatted letter with pictures even if the recipient has no PP, and they can save the recipe on their own PP if they do).

I have loved this app until a couple weeks ago. Now, every time I open it, it crashes immediately. I cannot get it to open and stay open.

I have tried everything to cancel this subscription! There is no option on the app to do so. You can’t even email or call them to cancel the app! I’m hoping that between apple and this post the my app subscription will be canceled. If not I’ll do it via my credit card by stopping payment. Very disappointing! The app works well and has been useful but I’m not happy about not being able to cancel the subscription.

This app is all I use for recipes, menus planning and shopping list. I love the way it syncs to all devices with the app. Make it interact with Siri is my only wish.

I have tried OVER and OVER again to get assistance, as I suddenly cannot add or edit recipes. I have done all the trouble shooting tricks, and Pepperplate tried to blame my storage on my device. I have over 200 GB of space, so that is not the issue. They then said they see the problem, and will fix it. NOPE, nothing has been done, and they haven’t reached out, but the SURE take the monthly premium from my account. This is robbery , as far as I’m concerned.

Great App but it keeps freezing-I tried to let them know a while back but they blamed it on me. I wish it would get fixed-it’s been happening for close to two years!

It used to be good until they decided to charge for it. It combines items on the shopping list but won’t let me un-combine them if I choose to. An example…I added pear and pear nectar to the shopping list. It combined them as pears.
