## Perch Pot Description
Organize your pottery work with an app that's always in your pocket. Track glazes with a tap, document what works (or doesn't) with a photo, and have it all searchable.

Perch Pot helps you track everything about your pottery projects:

• Search, sort, filter — Full text search for your notes, sort by what stage your project is at, or filter to a particular clay or custom tag
• Photos — Pictures help you remember your work like nothing else, so they're front and center right alongside your notes
• Automatic sync — Out of the box backup and syncing for all your projects privately on your iCloud account
• Optimized workflows — Everything you track should be quick and painless so you can get back to making
• Customize everything — What stages do you want to track your projects through? What glazes does your studio have? Customize stages, forms, clays, decorative techniques, glazes, and custom tags
• Ideas — Capture project ideas like a neat decorative technique or a good glaze combo in a separate section
• Undo delete — Anything you delete can be found and recovered from the recently deleted section of settings
• Export your data — You shouldn't be locked into an app, so you can always export all your photos and data (and import data from elsewhere)

I built the app I wanted to use for my pottery, and it's really improved how I work. Perch Pot will always be free so anyone can bring a bit more beauty into this world. Happy potting!

## Perch Pot Reviews in United States

### ***** "So glad I have this!"
I have been trying to figure out a way to incorporate photos into my notes for glazes and this is it! It keeps track of all my glazes and makes it easy to keep track of where things are in the process. Thank you!
-- tungseth, 2024-11-15

### ***** "Love it!"
Loving this app so far. I was using a combination of a notes doc plus different albums to try and keep track of what pieces were in what stage. This is so much easier, and reduces clutter in my photo library.

One small improvement that would make it really helpful is if a setting could be added to auto update the thumbnail to the most recent photo. I’m taking a photo at each stage so it would be helpful for the thumbnail to reflect the current stage/state of the piece.

### ****- "A wonderful free app with a few minor glitches"
I so appreciate the free and straightforward Perch Pot. Compare to its competition, which is a $50/yr subscription (!!!) at least on Apple. So thank you - you are keeping the faith, brother.

It does what it says it does, with a few minor glitches:
- The notes section (large text field) continuously saves data; when it does, it periodically (every 10 key strokes or so) defaults cursor position to the end of the field. This makes it difficult to modify something in the middle of the field.
- I work on an iPad and have not figured out how to modify and upload a data-save archive. So far, not a big deal for me.

### ***** "Great - having one small issue"
I’m loving the app but cannot figure out how to delete photos I have uploaded by accident. If there isn’t a way, there definitely should be! (Especially since ios does this whole auto select thing where many images can be selected with a single swipe, oops!).

Thank you so much in particular for the tags and for the projects features! They are super useful!

### ***** "Great"
I love this app- but would love a couple small changes: 1) newest photos to appear first in the album and replace the thumbnails and 2) ability to order the glazes.

Thanks so much!

### ***** "THE ultimate app for ceramists"
Wether you are a beginner or advanced enthusiast this is the perfect place to consolidate and keep track of your pieces. Perfect for note taking and keeping track of your glazes ;)
-- Isa.Dora, 2024-04-27

### ***** "Works great, thanks to new 1.0.3 update."
I love the ease of use of this app for my pottery! Now that it has been updated and the iCloud syncing is working correctly, both my iPhone and iPad version show all my pottery! Thanks for making this the best, free pottery app!
-- Camahoney, 2024-04-14

### **--- "Need instructions! Looks useful but how to use it?"
Need a tutorial or handbook or just a few clues. How does this thing work?
