It’s Easy Download the free Perfect Bake app, and connect your iPad or iPhone to a Perfect Bake scale. The app guides you step-by-step through adding ingredients, mixing, portioning, and baking. I’ve used many healthy eating apps that have adding recipes down to a perfection. This app lacks in many ways. I would like to add a recipe but this is way too hard. It won’t let me add more ingredients. It only allows two per bowl. While using my iPhone, I tried typing a description and the two buttons at the bottom; cancel and okay disappear. It won’t let me scroll to the bottom to see them. I haven’t worked much with this app but from what I’ve tried, I’ll be taking the Perfect Bake 2.0 back and getting something else. Another suggestion, make a category for user recipes. Maybe make them shareable with others. I received the perfect scale for Christmas, but before I got the scale I had already downloaded all three of the apps perfect bake perfect blend and perfect drink. The apps are amazing, they are definitely attuned towards a person who has experience with technology, but even if you're not that great at using new technology they offer lots of videos to help you along the way. The recipes are wonderful and I love that they add new recipes all the time, I love that the apps are free even if you don't have one of their scales, and there are no ads. I have noticed the app crashing when trying to create my own recipes. But as long as you save your work as you go this is not a problem just an annoyance. Also it does have a different look on my iPad that on my phone, on the iPad it is viewed horizontally more like a cookbook, and on the iPhone it is viewed vertically, I have not seen a way to change this. I personally like the way it looks on both of them but it is different and at first it was kind of weird. I love that I can create a login on my iPad which is what I mainly use in the kitchen and my phone always has the same information. I can create shopping list on my iPad for the ingredients I need, and when I go to the store with my iPhone and my shopping list is there for me. All in all this is the most amazing cooking app I have ever found and I have had several of them. It takes 100% of the guesswork out of breakfast lunch and dinner it makes cooking even more fun because I don't even have to think about it, especially on complicated recipes, I just follow the prompts and I'm rewarded with nice tones every step of the way! -- Jenniferonthebeach, 2017-01-02 ### ***-- "Great idea, mediocre execution" I absolutely love this idea, having a scale that can connect to my phone and help make recipes is an amazing idea. But there are some big problems. While the app works great for the recipes that come with it, I am unable to create my own recipes because the app will constantly crash. The interface of this app makes it very hard to use and is more complicated than it needs to be. Also, this app is not updated for larger phones and looks terrible on iPhone 7. I did need, however, to read the how to sections and view the tutorial video to get started. I really liked how the color coded bowls, the scale, and the app all worked together. When you begin a recipe the steps are very clear and the measurements are visual. There is even an audio sound when you have poured in enough of an ingredient. You can by pass an ingredient while making a recipe or edit the recipe later. You can add your own recipes, too. This product eliminates the mess of many measuring cups and spoons which is a real plus.
