I have used this app to practice for a long time and there is none fully like it. The tapping lessons, notes reading are my favorites. But the range of the theory and air training has kept me immersed in learning for daily use
The microphone pics up the tone played by the speaker, so I immediately fail or pass a task.
The rhythm tapping exercises doesn’t work. They don’t tell you when to start and it will just note down the tap you did in the middle of the course. And sometimes when it’s a half note and you tap it will say it’s way to late even tho it hasn’t payed that many beats yet. Also in the rhythm input exercise they sometimes ask for rhythms that you can’t even write down because the button for that specific rhythm value I’m isn’t even there. Not worth your time and money
Easy to use, sound could be better
The app helps a lot, but when I repeat the tone in the interval singing it sometimes use the tone the app plays as my answer so I fail the task:/
As others noted mic input is glitchy. Good app when it works, but lately has been unusable.
It marks wrong or correct when I didn’t make a sound. It needs to be fixed
All the other apps that offer music theory training have absurd paywalls and subscriptions. This app offers a great amount of free content, and the paid content is reasonably priced. I’ll be purchasing
Amazing app. Allows for on the go learning, practice of absolute pitches, rhythm, sight reading, etc. Everything feature can be used for free, with premium being an upgraded/configurable version. This app’s premium is the only in-app purchase I’ve ever made-it’s a one time $5.00 purchase that makes the app even more useful (and isn’t crammed down your throat while you get used to the app.)
Started out well, unfortunately there’s a bug in the microphone input processing step so although all permissions are in place it doesn’t hear me singing, which is the main thing I needed it for
