Perplexity - AI Search & Chat

This app is really worth spending time with- any off the wall idea or concept or even just a perspective on something that might be important to you- it’s a playground to spend time in and the more you challenge the better the results. It’s a process that takes time so if you have the inclination and interest in finding out how much this Ai model can do for you then I believe it is worth spending the money on a pro mentorship model. Every question or situation that I have researched so far has been answered with real detail and considered incite. Not once have I thought - err that’s a load of rubbish(!) I like that you can save your sessions for reference purposes and then you kind of have a log of your own narrative and the thoughts buzzing around in your head. I believe that these language models work as well as the work we also put in to refine and qualify ever improving distinguishing results. So it works alongside us - it can only be as intelligent as the hand that feeds it so dig well into your imagination to get the best possible innovation

So quick and much more responsive than other AI and results presented helpfully.

Hi I think Perplexity on web is great but on my phone it is a disaster on the web app on iOS. I cannot for months open the app using my Google login (my account uses the google login). When will this error be fixed?

I felt I had to say that because the great thing about Perplexity for me is not that I could substitute my own creative thinking or judgement with it, but that using it enables me to source information that I am looking for from the internet in a more differentiated manner. For this purpose it has no rival, because it also crucially references each element of its response. This makes it into a seriously helpful tool. Knowledge may not begin at Perplexity (as the banner grandly misrepresents), but gathering available online sources now often does, for me at least.

It can generate images and the previous message are not saved.

I know from using it on a laptop that Perplexity Pro can do text to image (although very restricted and censored). However every time I ask it to make an image using the iPhone app with an active Perplexity Pro subscription, it tells me it can’t generate images! So I tell it this is incorrect and it apologises and admits it can make images. Then I try again and ask it to make the image. But it just repeats that it cannot generate images. I give up and will stick to ChatGPT!

Cannot rely for any news analysis - admits that it is trained on very narraw carefully chosen highly biased sources.
