The lights are nice, but this app has an absurd interface. I wish people still practiced user-centric design. How do I add a light to HomeKit? No obvious way to do it. Online instructions are out of date. I’ll figure it out; but, such an exceedly common and simple task shouldn’t require this level of research.

Directions say remnant instructions from the old Hue Labs automations can be removed by the “clean up” link for the Bridge.  I’ve done this several times now, but my bedroom light is still randomly coming on in the middle of the night.  I am about to throw the bridge and lights into the trash.  Can you please provide a clean up function that actually works?

I adjust the color of the lights about 4 times a year for holidays. Every time I open the app I have to login all over again. Google and Alexa constantly have to be reprogrammed. Lights burned out or started to flicker and I have to start all over. I love when I am traveling I discover that my out of home control has been disabled.

I should not have to register my name and email to use the phone with Bluetooth to reset Hue ceiling lights. I go through many screen asking to share info and email etc and I can skip all but the final setup where the app won’t proceed without info.

I had been a fan of Philips Hue lighting for years, appreciating the ambiance and control it brought to my home. However, my experience has taken a severe downturn, thanks to the Philips Hue app's recent issues. 

The app, which was once a reliable tool for managing my smart lighting system, has now become practically unusable. I noticed that after an update, the app started to glitch out, showing error messages, and eventually, it stopped working altogether. This led to my Hue lights becoming completely unresponsive, leaving me in literal darkness when I most needed them. 

The situation has escalated to the point where there are discussions online about initiating a class action lawsuit against Philips for this debacle. The frustration is palpable among other users who've experienced the same issue, with their investments in Hue lights turning into expensive paperweights. The lack of immediate response or effective support from Philips has only added fuel to this fire. It's not just about the inconvenience; it's about the reliability and trust in a product that was supposed to enhance our daily lives but has instead caused significant disruption.

The search online for solutions like "Phillips lights app class action lawsuit hue lights stopped working" reveals that many are facing similar problems, with no clear fix in sight. Philips needs to address this issue swiftly, or they'll face not just customer backlash but potentially legal repercussions. 

Until Philips resolves these issues, I strongly advise potential buyers to look elsewhere for their smart lighting needs, as the current state of the Philips Hue system is far from satisfactory.

Been using the app for the last 3yrs, have never had any issues. Came back from vacation to reconnect to my lights w/ my phone & wasn’t able too. Thought I needed to just update the app, updated it. Currently now the app itself is stuck on the gray loading screen w/ the Philips logo. Does not load after 5mins of waiting on the screen.

I have no problem with them totally breaking this app. What I have a problem with is they haven't reverted back to the version that works. However, it actually appears to me that Matter is actually what is broken. I doubt Phillips controls that.

I just want to set colors and scenes, but this app has turned into strictly showing ads to buy more products. The ads all show how you can set scenes and change colors but this is no longer possible on this app. Even when it did work it was so difficult to find the place to do it, and the bridge memory was used and maxed out.

I have 10 Phillips lightbulbs and they cost me $30 per bulb approximately. I do not want the burden of having to log into a server and turn on and off my lightbulbs. Why should I need an account online in order to turn on a lightbulb? I also have a house full of minor children that I don’t want advertised too. In adding a login requirement, Phillips has rendered my expensive and fancy lightbulbs into normal lightbulbs that require a light switch to use. I paid a fortune for these bulbs. I do not agree to news the terms of service and these bulbs have lost their functional value as a result. Bring back a version of the app that doesn’t require a login.

I’m currently sitting in the dark because I can’t turn my lights on with my phone. I paid over $300 for this privilege.
