## Phoenix Wallet Description
Phoenix makes using bitcoin easy, fast and safe. Payments are nearly instantaneous, and fees are minimal. You can use it to send payments (e.g. buy a cup of coffee), receive payments, and store your bitcoin safely for day-to-day spending.

The bitcoin lightning network means faster payments and smaller fees. Lightning is 100% bitcoin - an open standardized payments layer, engineered to improve speed while maintaining security and decentralization. And Phoenix makes it possible for everyone to use. Lightning channels are managed for you automatically. And inbound liquidity is automatically handled too. If you don't know what any of that means, then this is the wallet for you!

Phoenix is a non-custodial wallet, and is fully open source. It was created by ACINQ, one of the pioneering companies in the bitcoin lightning network. And the same company that runs the largest lightning node in the world.

Bitcoin is for everyone. Enjoy.

## Phoenix Wallet Reviews in United States

### ****- "Not received payment"
Someone sent me money into my wallet, I got the notification but yet to see the money reflect on my account. Please do something
-- Activenoshuser, 2026-03-29

### *---- "Scam Wallet-British scam"
This is not a lightning node wallet where you can make money off of transfers. The are locking your crypto in so they can make money.
-- Focus_____More, 2026-02-21

### ***** "The best hands down"
This is the best mobile lightning wallet available hands down.
-- Keywest btc, 2025-12-30

### *---- "Am ripped off"

No fuss, lightning and normal wallet operations

Smooth, low complexity, love this wallet

Keep it up lads!
-- vdcbggbj, 2025-11-07

### ****- "Expensive ⚡️ but great"
Do your homework before you use this app. Most of the bad reviews are from cranked users that don’t understand lightning channels, or how Phoenix works. Read their docs on their website. 0.4% on lightning is STEEP, but they gotta fund their business, so take it or leave it 🤷‍♂️
-- nednarB93, 2025-09-10

### *---- "Do not use"
Initiated a transaction…..still waiting to receive. 30 plus hours…..worst wallet ever. AVOID!!!

Update: funds never arrived. Look for a different wallet or risk your funds.
-- 2Scooby2, 2025-08-30

### *---- "Fix display UI correctly"
I love the app but the ui is trash incorrectly displayed one milli bitcoin is 113$ currently or 100,000 sats but why in the world would you display it incorrectly it's not 1.00 000 wrong wrong wrong it's 1.000 00 it's 1000 ƀ not 100 the last 2 digits are sats why's there a bit next to sats how am I supposed to price in Millie's if your misplacing the decimal just makes it harder to read
-- Lil chance_, 2025-08-27

### ***** "Best experience for lightning self custody"
Polishes almost all of the rough spot of lightning self custody
-- RyanBTC, 2025-06-13

### **--- "How long does the bolt 11 wallet take to expire I need a reply before I download it"
How long does the bolt 11 wallet take to expire I need a reply before I download it
