Phonto is a simple app that allows you to add text to pictures.

LANGUAGE

Phonto supports only English (US), Chinese and Japanese, so when the priority of Chinese (or Japanese) in your setting was higher than English, Phonto would be launched as Chinese (or Japanese) mode.

To solve this problem…
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Choose 'English' in 'General' > 'Language & Region' > 'iPhone Language'.
3. Turn back your 'iPhone Language' to your favorite language.

HOW TO INSTALL FONTS
--------------------------------
Using iTunes, you can copy font files between your computer and Phonto on your iOS device.

1. Select your iOS device from the Devices section of iTunes.
2. Click the Apps tab and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
3. Select "Phonto" in the "File Sharing" section.
4. Drag and drop .ttf or .otf font files into "Documents".
5. Restart Phonto.

Best photo editor/layer/text app

Honestly the first and best app I’ve used. Can install custom fonts and do sooo much without having to pay monthly fees. Definitely going to look into premium features in the future. Highly highly recommend.

Great tool for me

I love Phonto as i have created so many great quotes and images for Instagram and Facebook so its my go-to tool for rapid creation and branding. I have also created 4 book covers on here also so, its really a great resource for my iphone. Bravo!

My saviour.

After the latest O/S17 update my editor of choice, ACDSee Pro, would no longer add text to my photo’s. After reviewing others to find a replacement and downloading some to try none did what I want. The likes of Photoshop and Affinity 2 were too complicated and long winded just to type descriptive text on a family photo. I can’t see ACDSee updating their app either. Then I found this, so far the answer to my prayers. Probing further into the app. it does more than I want and for those who want a good text editor this does much more. UPDATE. Since writing the above review this app has started adverts after doing an edit. No problem if in English but some are in Chinese with no means of getting rid of them without shutting down the iPad and restarting each time. It’s now getting tedious. I understand their needs for ads to cover the costs but totally frustrating when you cannot carry on editing because you cannot close the Chinese ad.
