## Photerra Description
Start with the photos. You'll look at them anyway. Photerra is a map of real photographs, not listings — every pin is a photo someone took standing there, so you can see what a place actually looks like, from where, and in what light. Google Maps tells you a place exists; Photerra shows you what it looks like from where someone stood.

EVERY PHOTO WAS TAKEN BY SOMEONE STANDING THERE
Not business listings. Not stock photography. Every spot on Photerra is a real photograph taken by a person who stood there — most by Photerra travelers, some drawn from open photo archives, each credited on the spot. The bench at sunset, the turn in the trail where the view opens up, the café with the good light. Every pin sits where the photograph was taken.

NO SPONSORED SPOTS. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS.
Unlike travel apps built on advertising, Photerra has no sponsored spots and no paid placements — nobody pays to rank. When you book through a clearly labelled partner link we may earn a commission; that never touches the map. We never sell your data, and Quiet Mode lets you share spots and plan trips without putting your name on them.

SEE IT BEFORE YOU GO — IN THE RIGHT LIGHT
Most photographs carry the time of day they were shot, so you can filter the map by Morning, Afternoon, Golden hour, or Night. Chasing a sunset viewpoint or an early-morning trail? Find spots photographed in the light you're looking for.

A TRIP PLANNER THAT CAN'T INVENT A PLACE
Tell Photerra where you're going and what you like — "a weekend of quiet viewpoints in Portland," "three days of good food and long walks in Rome" — and it builds a day-by-day itinerary only from real photographed spots — nothing invented. An AI planner can send you somewhere that doesn't exist; this one can't, because every stop is a place someone photographed. Invite people and plan it together. If the planner puts it on your plan, someone stood there first.

ROAD TRIPS, PLANNED AROUND REAL SPOTS
Driving from A to B? Photerra strings photo spots along your actual route — the overlooks, pull-offs, and small towns worth stopping for — and splits them into days by drive time.

BRING IN A PLAN FROM ANYWHERE
Paste an itinerary from ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude, a booking email, or a link from Google Maps, TikTok or Instagram (Trips → Create → Bring in a plan from elsewhere), and Photerra turns it into a trip: every place goes on your map, with real photos where travelers have taken them, and a stop that can't be placed is kept by name, never guessed. No inbox access, and Photerra doesn't store what you paste.

YOUR CAMERA ROLL IS ALREADY A MAP
Tap Map my photos and Photerra reads the location your camera saved with each photo and draws the places you've been — no photo is uploaded unless you choose to post it. Then add the ones worth sharing, 5, 50, or 100 at once, and each lands where you took it. Your photos become your map, and the places you loved become spots someone else can walk to. And it works for everyday places, not just vacations — the corners you photograph every week count too.

A LIVING RECORD OF WHERE YOU'VE STOOD
Photerra reads your map and shows you what kind of traveler you are — the places you were first to put on the map, your countries, your spots, all growing as you go.

THERE IN ONE TAP
Every spot opens in Google Maps, Apple Maps, Uber, or Lyft. When you need a table, a room, or a flight, jump straight to OpenTable, Resy, Booking.com, Skyscanner, and more.

FREE, AND YOUR PHOTOS STAY YOURS
Photerra is free to download and use. Every photograph was taken by a person and no place is generated; captions are written by AI, and plans are chosen by AI from photographed places. Start with the places your photos already remember.

Perfect for finding photo spots and photo locations, scenic viewpoints and overlooks, sunset and golden-hour spots, landmarks, scenic drives and road trips, day-by-day itineraries, a ChatGPT itinerary on a map — and seeing a place before you go.

## Photerra Reviews in United States

### ***** "Great!"
I downloaded Photerra not knowing what to expect. I really like that it’s new to the market and I can be one of the first people to initiate logging the spots and locations I love. I like to use it more for outdoors and my trips, I can make an itinerary so other users can check out and use as their own. Great work on this app, looking forward to see where it goes!!
