If I could give zero I would due to company policies. It took me two weeks of going back and forth with an “agent” who was not understanding the issue. I signed up for the prerelease of the app to benefit from generation credits for free. Well don’t they change their operating formula to a subscription based after the release so my credits are worthless. Upon speaking to a manager after two weeks they gave me a month of the basic upgrade for free. I expected more from a company like Topaz Labs. Plus they’re American so I’m going to look to spend my money elsewhere after I abuse my free month. “Elbows Up”
They first launched this with on-device processing for faces only. Which was free without limitations. Pay for cloud processing, which makes perfect sense. Now only 10 free a month and cloud processing. So I will stick desktop versions of Photo AI and Gigapixel, this iPad app is getting deleted. Provide a one-time payment option for on-device processing, until then lost this customer.
I’ve repeatedly tried to both login with my Topaz credentials and setup a Gigapixel account through the app and get nothing but rejection. If I wanted rejection I’d try dating hotter girls, not improving my photos.
Appears this app was released earlier than it should have been. To use the “pro” option, you need to purchase credits, but no option to do so is available, other than to “log out”. Additionally, the enhance faces options appears to just smooth the image - not really “AI” since several apps have been “smoothing” images for over a decade. Anyhow, I look forward to Topaz Labs updating the app as needed in order to put the app in line with their excellent computer software.
Keep getting this error, the app doesn’t work at all.
Hums for 30 or 40 seconds then presents an image that is, to all appearances, exactly the same as the grainy original. Switching before/after shows no change. As far as I can see this app does literally nothing :(
Like the company and what they produce. However to do anything beyond a simple face smoothing. You need to buy pro credits. Which is fine. But I cannot for the life of me find out where or how you do it. This page as of Jan 22 doesn’t mention in app purchases and the Topaz website seems to only refer to the computer variant of the app. Needs updating.
Using on an older iPad Air and still runs well! Took 3-4 minutes on an old image, but the results were very good. Pretty cool!
Gigapixel most needed and amazing app . Results top quality
