EINSCHRÄNKUNGEN
Die kostenlose Version von PhotoSync erlaubt den vollen Test der Übertragungsfunktionalität. Fotos und Videos werden jedoch nur in geringer Qualität übertragen sowie Bilder in das JPEG-Format konvertiert. Diese Beschränkungen können durch ein Upgrade zu PhotoSync Pro (Einmalkauf) aufgehoben werden.

Es gibt viele Speichermöglichkeiten. 
Nervig ist aber die automatische Sicherung von neuen Bildern vom Handy zum Ziel: Die automatische Sicherung wird entweder per Akku-Laden oder per Ankommen an einen Standort ausgelöst. Viel besser wäre 
a) ohne Kriterium, einfach neue Bilder sichern 🤷🏼‍♂️
b) in Wlan X

Downloads werden auch nicht mitgesichert.

Funktioniert einwandfrei. Was ich jedoch vermisse, sind Wischfunktionen um die zu übertragenen Dateien auszuwählen. Man muss jede Datei einzeln abtippen.

...Leider werden HEIC Fotos nur im 4:3 Format übertragen. Selbst wenn diese in 16:9 aufgenommen wurden, und man JPG Umwandlung eingestellt hat, es bleibt bei 4:3 Format. Andere Apps haben das Problem nicht. IPhone 16 Pro ios 18.2. Edit: der Entwickler hat schnell geholfen, eine Einstellung war verkehrt, nun klappt alles. Herzlichen Dank und 5 *****. Auch der Support :-)

Warum wird nicht in der Übersicht im App-Store offen geschrieben, dass die kostenfreie App nur kurze Zeit läuft und danach knapp 7,- € pro Monat kostet? „In App Käufe“, ja klar, aber das heißt für mich, dass es bestimmte Features in der App,gibt, die man zukaufen muss, wenn man das nutzen will. Dass die App global kostet, würde ich gerne wissen bevor ich das installiere! Bauernfängerei!

Verlust des nicht–destruktiven Bearbeitungsstands

Die Fotos werden entweder im unbearbeiteten Originalzustand oder als geänderte Datei in einer bearbeiteten Version übertragen.  Entweder verliere ich also sämtliche vorgenommene Bildanpassungen, oder ich verliere die Möglichkeit die Bilder später in den Originalzustand zurückzusetzen. 

Leider sieht man diese Einschränkung erst nach dem Kauf der Software, da die Testversion grundsätzlich alle Fotos verkleinert.

Da mag der Rest der App noch so gut funktionieren, so ist sie für meine Zwecke unbrauchbar. Ich brauche eine Foto–Backup–Lösung, welche keine Änderungen an den Daten vornimmt.

Antwort auf den Entwickler–Kommentar:

Wenn es seitens Einschränkungen durch Apple nicht möglich ist die Sidecar–Dateien auf iPhone und iPad zurückzuspielen, sollten Sie dieses Manko auch deutlich in der Programmbeschreibung kenntlich machen. Die Verwendung des Wortes „Backup“ impliziert zumindest das unveränderte Zurückspielen der Daten.

Beim ersten Backup laden die Daten immer einzeln von der iCloud und dann werden sie z.b. bei mir auf den NAS gepushed. Dieser Vorgang ist extrem langwierig bei knapp 90.000 Bildern. So hat der Transfer von ca. 25000 Dateien bisher ca. 72+h gedauert. 

Hier wäre es sinnvoll wenn im Hintergrund mehrere Bilder parallel heruntergeladen würden um einen Puffer aufzubauen um die downloadbandbreite und den Upload möglichst gut zu sättigen. Z.b immer 10 Bilder parallel z.b.  

Ansonsten tut die App aber was sie soll. 👍
