Pickle is a rental marketplace. We seek to make fashion more affordable, circular, and accessible by enabling people to rent clothes directly from one another right in their community. 

Our unique peer-to-peer model allows Pickle to have the coolest and freshest fashion out there. And our same-day local courier delivery not only allows our users to find a last minute outfit when they’re “in a Pickle”, but also helps people avoid fast fashion & shop sustainably!

Within 5 minutes of redownloading I ran into two complete dead ends. First, I get an infinite load on any link from the homepage. Thinking maybe this is just relegated to guest mode, I try to log in and realize I’ve forgotten my old password. I try to click forgot password and the authentication code never arrives, despite multiple resends.

Do not get involved with this app! Had the worst experience with renting and they will charge you ridiculous fees. Get fashion pass instead if you are looking to rent.

This app has so much potential but the courier experience and customer service makes it almost unbearable. The service they use in NYC for courier delivery is so terrible, they have cancelled multiple times on me, resulting in hundreds of dollars lost due to cancellation of rentals. Their customer service is equally terrible. I reached out regarding a rental being damaged and have asked for an update for days and my messages are read and ignored. I also reached out because a  balance was not showing in my account and same thing - read and ignored. I truly love this app an these issues really make me want to delete it.

The platform in it’s essence is a great idea but they’re advantageous and greedy. Renters beware, if a rental doesnt work out and you ask for a refund, you only get refunded in rental credits and they only last for 2 weeks before expiring. What a joke. Try other companies before this one! Would give no stars if I could.

The concept of this app is great and the users on this app have a lot of good inventory, but unfortunately the positives stop there. I’ve been on pickle for over a year and had a number of incidents including where I’ve been erroneously charged fees despite me having already shipped back a rental (maybe turn off the ability to charge late fees after an item has been shipped?), a renter has stolen an item from me and pickle has allowed them to continue claiming they will ship it back for 2+ months without charging them, a renter has damaged my item and they would not charge them for it unless I paid the upfront cleaning cost, the list goes on. I feel like I’m constantly back and forth with pickle support and they never provide me sound rationale for why these issues happen, they do not stand behind their own policies, and they act confused and bounce me back and forth between multiple representatives. If they’re collecting 20% of our earnings, they need to be providing much better support to the owners who literally keep their business running - and they also need to have things in place like shipping protection and literally just a simple guarantee that they won’t mishandle your money and charge you erroneous fees?! Be careful and keep an eye on your bank account - they are not afraid to charge you “mistakenly” and claim they’ll refund you later - after you chase them down and go back and forth with support for a few hours, of course.

It was a terrible experience I joined clicked that I was a man but couldn’t find any men’s outfits. It’s only an app for women. It’s a shame that I opened it and expected to find something nice instead I only found women’s outfits recommended to me. I couldn’t find anything else. Pickle(or whatever your name is) do better

### **--- "Unreliable handling of money"
I’m an active user and love the idea of the app. It fills a very real market problem. However, being a new app, it’s full of glitches and underdeveloped customer service practices. The reason I am currently rating it 2 stars is because I’ve encountered several times where they incorrectly handle my money in the app. They have randomly and erroneously taken from my account balance, essentially mishandling my money through the app. It feels shady and I’m considering stoping my usage of the app until they have more experience under their belt.
