Photo Organiser: Picnic

The UI is really polished which is great. However sometimes good UI doesn’t translate to good UX. Several issues that prevent me from using this as my cleanup app, even though I really want to: 1.) Pictures only occupy the center of the screen. Other cleanup apps that I have been using have the picture as the main focus of the screen, which makes sense given you are trying to decide which photos you want to keep and remove. 2.) The app does not really handle videos and live photos very well. You’re not able to scrub through the video without accidentally swiping and Live Photos do not always play. 3.) The compare feature is a cool idea, but I’ve noticed it doesn’t always grab the similar photos and group them together in addition the sweeping animation across is actually a bit annoying because I just want to see the other photo immediately so I can spot the differences. Otherwise, it’s a really good app that I would happily pay for, but I think the features have not been implemented as well as they could have and the app is covering it up a little bit with a slick UI. So it’s not currently worth the price of subscription I think.

It’s a great way to clear up space, it’s just annoying that you have to buy “unlimited swipes” to keep swiping, and if you don’t you have to wait usually more than 10 hours for some free swipes.

It’s actually a genius app that really helps clear stuff out and also reminding me of how many great photos i have. But 125 swipes per 6 hours is really annoying, especially because swiping is so fast and easy.

Sure the concept of the app is good and useful, it does exactly as advertised. The subscription model however ruins any use of the app with an overpriced plan for a simple photo cleaner… This is supposed to be convenient i didn’t expect to try to be charged over something i can just do myself, if you have the money to waste go ahead and go for it but for the rest of us we’ll just do it on our own.

Great app, really just leaving a review because of the version notes on this latest update. Top notch, as is tradition.

I love this app so much, it made sorting through my over 15,000 photos so quick and easy, I paid for the unlimited and finished in a week, highly recommend!

I just paid for this app a few weeks ago and have loved it. I updated it yesterday and they made the folder list a search instead of scroll and click. It takes sooo much more time to pick a folder as I’m going through my photos. Please revert this change.
