I’ve played this game for years now off and on. And there’s a reason I keep coming back to it. There’s nothing like it out there. You don’t need to pay to play, just watch videos and collect gems and just be patient. And once you reach the top level for your tank and weapon you’re at the same level as everyone else and it just comes down to skill. Developers have stopped adding stuff ( tanks, weapons,accessories). And keep up the good work creator’s!!!!!😆 -- tuff bob, 2025-07-24 ### ****- "Good Aesthetic and Graphics" By far the most detailed, “polished,” “fun-themed” tank “arena” game available while also providing some of the best stylized graphics of any game available, on par, if not better, than graphics of major mobile game competitors such as Supercell. The gameplay is smooth, fast-paced, seemingly “balanced” (though some weapons seem to have overall “roles” that are more efficient than others), plethora of different weapons, bodies/hulls, and cosmetics to truly customize your tank to your liking. However, for this game to truly succeed, which I thoroughly believe it should due to this game’s sheer level of good quality, the reward system needs a heavy overhaul. Currently, your upgrades require 25 “coins” per level before requiring a “major” upgrade of roughly 200 coins (which will increase as you raise the item’s level) before getting to move to another set of three “minor” upgrades. Meanwhile, a “season” selection is used to allow the player to unlock new weapons, hulls, and cosmetics that functions similarly to a “battle pass” in many other games. Unfortunately, this “season” system will typically take around 2000 points to completely finish a “season,” of which you’ll typically only progress by about 5-15 points per match, meaning it would take around 200 matches to complete just one season. Due to the “coin” shortage and the unnecessarily slow progress of the season, I’ve found that this game’s “player economy” to be atrociously slow. Yes, a lot of this is free (though even seasons that require payment may also require 2000 points), however, in comparison to other “free” mobile games that have “time sinks” (Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars, etc.) the rate of progress is tied to the amount of time spent on the game, with a more active game like Brawl Stars (which requires actively playing the game instead of largely waiting as with Clash of Clans), the rate of progress is relatively fast, which is not something that Pico Tanks replicates. Simply put, Pico Tanks needs to increase the rate of earning in nearly every system (coins, season points, etc.) by at least 5x. Yes, this would seemingly affect the longevity of the game by shorting the time to the “end game,” but, ironically, if players find that the progression will take too long that may quit at the start, which makes any long progression pointless.
