## Pictar Reviews in United States

### *---- "Will not work with latest iOS"
The Pictar app has not been updated in over a year and does not communicate with iOS 18.
-- Pictar crash, 2024-12-23

### *---- "Garbage"
App does not connect to grip - out of business and outdated
-- itschrismck, 2024-10-17

### ***-- "Update Review for iPhone 14 pro Max iOS 17"
This device had been in a box for the last 2 or 3 years… was going to put it on eBay despite the software not having support but I seen there was an update 5 months ago that addressed the connectivity of said device via ultra sonic communication it uses. It now functions to an extent but does tend to crash if you leave the app for whatever reason and come back …. You’ll have to restart the app again for it to function. Other than that I’m happy I can finally use the device I paid an arm and leg for… unfortunately the lens I have ( all 4… ) don’t have a need for as Apple has updated there cameras. Wish support came sooner but at least I can use the main device now. Update: if you decide to use IOS18 It will indeed break the functions of this app. Do NOT upgrade to IOS 18 if you intend to continue using this PicTar product ie. The Pro Grip … hopefully an update will be release… if not I’m back to square one.

### *---- "Not Recommended"
The device had a lot of promise and was a pleasure to use in its initial iterations, but it appears the developer—Miggo—is out of business, so there’s no way the app can be updated. Each phone/camera upgrade requires new software to manage new hardware—additional dedicated lenses most notably—so the new iPhone capabilities aren’t recognized and the old hardware features on the Pictar device itself then no longer function as designed with new phone. Too bad—it was a great idea, but apparently just didn’t sell enough to keep going.

### ***-- "Won’t focus…"
It’s great that I can finally shot like I want to (almost) with the M mode. But. Using this app my camera won’t focus on a close subject… while I still can do it with the factory camera app

### *---- "Will not install"
I bought the Pictar Smart lens Pro 4 in 1 lens kit.
During the app install it asks to scan the bar code on the package , the app will not focus on the barcode so I click on the manualy enter info and it stays on the screen and will not continue. I am using an IPhone 14 Pro Max running the latest version of the operating system.

### *---- "Horrible"
Absolutely not worth the money and it doesn’t work. Blue light just blinks and doesn’t connect. . Don’t purchase
-- China-Shi2021, 2023-04-07

### *---- "It just doesn’t work"
Won’t connect to my phone. Found out it’s apparently Bluetooth but it doesn’t show up on my phone. Not even good as a paperweight.
-- Aussiebooboo, 2023-02-11

### *---- "Doesn’t connect with iPhone"
Doesn’t connect with iPhone. Buttons don’t work.
-- Ice2378, 2023-01-13

### *---- "Stay away!"
It just garbage. Stay away. Save your money. The grip doesn’t work with the new iOS. What a trash brand.
