When the app worked, it was awesome. I tried virtually all the other major brands but MCC was the most seamless, integrating with my airlines server and pulling all my flight data effortlessly. Unfortunately, the app would occasionally return an error (usually after a software update) and troubleshooting with tech support would generally be more extensive than what it should be. It’s as if there was no regression testing whenever they released a new update and I always seemed to be the guy who got stuck trying to unfarkle things. One time it was just before the interview of my life…talk about stressed out! Despite these shortcomings, I put up with it because overall it was the best logbook out there, and I had a lifetime license so I was kinda committed to this software. Until one day they decided to stop supporting it and effectively force loyal lifetime users like myself to change to their PILOTLOG software. I was of course angry and felt duped by their slight of hand. Despite this, I paid the additional fees to keep the software going. I was at my dream legacy carrier and liked how effortless it interfaced with my airline and imported all the data, thus providing me the confidence that I always had a perfectly updated logbook at all times. Until they decided to stop supporting that feature too. So now I’m left with software that doesn’t download my flights which means I need to use a third party app to download then import into PILOTLOG. This is the straw that broke the camels back. I now despise this company for these lousy business practices and will never place myself at their mercy again. I don’t care if my “lifetime membership” effectively cost me one penny per day pro rated. This is NOT how you engender goodwill with your customers. This is not how you increase brand loyalty. Instead, they always seem to choose the path that will enflame their customers. No more.
